Huh? Teams already? Damn! I haven't even got a deer on the ground yet this year!

Looks like I'll be out of touch for a while guys. Iamyourhuckleberry and I leave for OZ on Friday and I'll be gone for 3 weeks. I wasn't able to squeeze in my prime deer hunt before the big trip and the bow's set for water buffalo anyway. No sense killing deer with 80 lbs and 850 grain arrows. I've got 'til the end of the year and I've 3 buck tags. There's a big boat trip to the south end of the island lined up for November again too. Glad to see a mix of familiar and new faces in here and at least one past heavy hitter; Opel. Maybe 'crick can even get his hands around some antlers that make his fingers look small!

My De season starts Thur the 1st and my Md starts the 15th. Have not seen a buck or too many does for that matter. The Md property is 45 acres right in the middle of a hugh woods, 3/4 mile to the nearest crop field. The deer just aren't that deep yet. I was just over there today rehanging the cam that I took took out before the hurricane hit and it was flooded big time. We're right at sea level per say so it does hold water. The De property is gonna be public so we will see what happens.

Nice to meet you all. Hopefully everyone else gets checked in soon. I will pm them to remind them to do so. Are we suppose to come up with a name and a captain? If so any ideas? I'm new to all this so if someone could help me out that would be great!

Yes we will need a captain once we get a few more people checked in and then we can brainstorm a team name. Seems like we've got some big buck states in the mix here

Yeah, "Land of the Little Bucks"... Ha!

I'll check in as I get a chance but don't expect to hear from me for the next three weeks. If any of you guys get started by then; good luck! As far as cpt. and team name go, I'll role with whatever you guys decide... but I'm claiming "Not It!". My fall's going to be way too busy with Australia, house sale, wedding, moving, bear season, goat season and trying to squeeze in a deer assassination to be responsible. ;)

Jeff, AKA "early in" touching base with my team. I'm flattered to be on a team with all of this talent. It's like a "dream team"! Good luck to everyone. I'll do my best to get a decent public land buck for our cause.

Haha Crick! I think Dubbya is the fellow to blame for me being a lush at times... But I try to take these 3 months off and make up for lost time later
All kidding aside, I am super stoked for September 17th to hurry up and get here. I haven't got anything huge on cameras yet, but I have 6 or 7 really nice 2.5's already which is a shock. Normally I don't get more than a couple dinker bucks on camera during the summer so it's a pleasant suprise.
There is one 3.5 that better watch his rear.
I saw him last year as a 2.5 and I thought he was just broke off... turns out I was wrong. That left side is pretty nice tho. Won't score a lot but definitely one I would take

Cool buck Beagle. I have a mid 150-160" I am going after. He may be bigger. Havent got a good look at him and he never gets in front of my trail cams.
