I will take a doe.

 

I hope to shoot a doe or two early and focus on the big boys when I'm on vacation. Seems like in years past the teams that have done the best have killed several does, think it might be the key to the whole thing. In the mean time I hope this darn weather gets it out of its system, calling for 90's for the next week and no rain in sight.

 

I hope to get a doe or two for the freezer. We can buy up top 5 doe tags a day..lol I think that's a little over the top. But there are many around here who will not shoot a doe. Myself I think you need to harvest both bucks and does.

 

I will shoot a doe also. This is important if we want to be in the running

I hope to take a doe as well. I think Tom should let all of us hunt his properties. With all the giants hes posted I think we'd have a pretty good shot at winning this thing :D

That's great most if not everyone can knock down does! The key is to get as many team members to get a doe under their belts as possible... This team should do well when it's all said and done.

 

I will keep the team updated as much as possible throughout the next 10 days. LEAVING IN 24 HOURS and I HUNTING WITHIN 48!!!!

I agree on the does. This is my first year in the contest. How many bucks do most teams get?

 

Based off last year I'd say 3-4 bucks per team is average...

Ran up and checked cameras on the 3 bear baits I have. All 3 were hit with quite a bit of pics. This is the bear I will be looking for.

 

Well last night was spent washing clothing and going through my whole scent control process. The clothes are currently hanging on the line for a few days and can't believe I'm a month away!

 

Let see if we can beat the average! Think positive!

I hear ya. Same boat as you. I am doing Doves & Geese Sunday.

Will be checking four cameras on Sunday or Monday.

Have season tickets for the Illini will be there Saturday. I think they are playing your school.

 

I'm not a Saluki, but hopefully the Illini win.

 

If they don't win this one, it will be a very long year. Last year was bad enough.
