Two of my hunts were on Lake Country Whitetails on the Sportsman Channel. I put pressure on myself but this is definitely about a team. As far as I am concerned the captain for this is just a secretary for Fitz and no I do not wear skirts!
It's killing me not knowing whats on my cameras! We put 5 out a couple weeks ago. Not sure if I can get out this weekend either to check them,,,
I have two cameras that have been out for about a month and I'm itching like a meth addict to see what's on them.
I am headed out in the morning to check 2 cameras and bear baits on public ground and hopefully getting another 2 baits, cameras and sets hung for the 1st.
The hornet count is officially up to 131 I was able to start discing and got about half of it done. It is going pretty well for breaking new ground. Will take a rake out tomorrow and get some of the loose grass off the top for better seed to soil contact. Checked the pH yesterday. The area I am working on now is 7.11 and the bigger one tested at 6.74. With a little luck I will have the smaller one all prepped tomorrow. I think I will be able to water both so am hoping for good results. If I get a chance I will try to post pics tomorrow.
If you have a Southern States or something like that, they may be able to recommend a fertilizer blend. I think a safe mix if you can't get that would be a 10-10-10. Good luck with the plot.
Checking cameras and one food plot in the morning. Pulling one of the three cameras and moving to a different hunting spot. Going to hang the final two stands also. Can't wait to see what is on film.
Wonder how Mr. Raxx pull is going today? He has some huge ones on film already. I honestly think we might have a shot at this. Seems like a quality group to me.
Couple of the better pics from todays pull. No shooter bucks, but a lot of daytime movement. Had several coyote pics at night and the fawn pic shows her stomach tore up. If she lives she will get a lifetime pass so I can easily track age, etc. We will be dove hunting next week and before we get started my brother will be calling and sitting with his .223 to even the score a little. Hung final two stands and all prep work is complete. Food plots look average. Moved one camera today. Just gonna run my cams until oct 1st and then hunt.
My 12 year old son is pretty excited about the bear I have on camera and will be bear hunting for the first time. Looks like he will be going after that one unless something bigger shows up.
