Pulled camera for the first time this week and had quite a few doe pictures and a few of this buck. Not huge and don't think I'll shoot him, but still worth sharing.

It actually ended up being a terrible shot. I'm comfortable out to 50yds and the placement would have been great but as I released she tried jumping out of the creek bed. ended up hitting her in the gut and passing through the opposite hind quarter. luckily I hit an artery or she would have been hell to track.

Just been one of those years for me fellas, this past weekend was pretty awesome despite the fact I didn't shoot anything. I had three good encounters with 140+ inch bucks all within 50 yards before stopping and walking in the opposite direction (and out of my life). The woods really seemed to be rockin on Saturday when I seen 10 different bucks during an all day sit but unfortunately Sunday didn't live up to the hype.
Not sure when I'll get out next but traditionally the hunting for me is all downhill form here.. I'll keep you all posted.
    Good Luck Everyone!!

Passed on the biggest deer I have ever had dead without a doubt last night. Probably about a 90 inch buck, but he was begging me to shoot him. He gave me multiple perfect shots, but decided to continue to hold out for one bigger. Glad to finally see a deer up close in the stand. It has been a rough stretch of seeing deer on the way to work and on the way to the stand, but not seeing them in the stand. They are still moving, so I'll be out every chance I get.

Hunted daylight to 11am yesterday. Met the wife at the mexican place for lunch then hit the woods again by 1:30 until dark. That made for a miserable sit. :)

I didn't see a single deer yesterday. Frustrating beyond belief.

Could it have been the mexican food that kept the deer away????????????

Went out this morning but didn't have any action. Had hi hopes with the front that just moved in. Was in the teens w/ single digit wind chills. Saw a small 6 last night. Just got the chili in the crock pot and am headed back out in a few to sit for the rest of the day. Had one cam take 103 pics since Friday w/ one shooter. Will try to get pics of him up later.

We should be in 2nd place if it was up to date.

Fitz has been hunting hard also, I'll let it pass for now.

Had a great night in the woods last night. Tried to put another doe down, but just had to many eyes to pull it off. All told I had 7 deer within 20 yards throughout the night. Wind changed today, so won't be able to get back into that awesome treestand but going to give it one more try in Ohio tonight before leaving for Indiana. I know it isn't with a bow, but I'm heading to Indiana for shotgun season this Friday and won't be back for at least 7 days.
