Good luck to everyone hunting this weekend. I had to take my daughter to volleyball practice today and I am baiting for bear tomorrow since the season ends next weekend.

Blew a chance on a doe this morning. Looked like a good shot but hit a twig and just missed. Good news is it was a clean miss. I'll take that over wounding a deer any day.

Sorry guys had to get off the Group Me text for a little while. Text messages ringing in all the time just wasn't what I wanted during deer season. Might join up again at some point, but taking a liitle break. We finally got some colder weather to move in last night, so I will be in the stand today after work.

Small buck down! scored 68 7/8". Sorry for being small, it came off of my wife's family farm that I've hunted since high school...15yrs ago! it has been a personal goal to harvest a deer off the farm, mission complete! should be able to get a doe also. Sorry again for the low buck score. good luck all

Congrats and there is no reason to apologize. This is for fun and if you shot a buck that helped with a personal goal that means more than a score.

No need to apologize... they are all trophies, regardless of score. Congrats again!

No apology needed. It's always great to see someone accomplish a goal. Question is what is your new goal for that property?

Runt down. I passed a fergie buck last night and had 2 fawns come in. They hung up at 50 yards for what seemed like an eternity. Finally at 6:45 one came in to 28 yards that I thought was the doe ( I was wrong) and I shot. Hit was back more than I wanted so I waited to recover this morning. I should have got after it last night. It went 20 yards and piled up. Oh well, better than pushing it and letting it get away. Long story short.....small bb down, 50 pts and enough meat to fill the crock pot, but not the freezer. I'll get contest pics this evening, its hanging in the garage and iced down.

Thanks guys. My fiance and I are getting married Saturday and we are having a cook out at the cabin afterwards. I told her I would get some fresh venison to put on the grill. Last night was my last chance to hunt for awhile so I took a young tender one. I always have an itchy trigger finger early in the season. Now I'll be pretty stingy with my buck tag. :)
