I will be hunting opening morning here in Ohio this Saturday. Just set up a ground blind that the Fiancé will be sitting in and I will be walking on to a pretty good stand, if the wind direction cooperates..

 

Hey Guys, I bought a Covert 'Special Ops' camera about a month ago... for those of you who aren't familiar with it, it sends a picture to your phone and/or email every time it takes a picture (assuming you have service). Anyway, I just wanted to share my thoughts about it real quick.
I LOVE THIS THING. Outside of the fact that it gives me immediate intel, it is a blast to use -I get that feeling we all get when checking our camera's every time my phone alerts me of a new text!
It wasn't cheap, I paid around $350 for it at trailcampro.com but so far it's been a treat to own and assuming things continue to go well i'll own another one next year! I'll keep you guys updated as to what my thoughts are throughout the season.

Basically you add a line to your existing cellular plan.

 

Damn thats not bad. I looked into cellular cams before and I remembered them costing more. I think that was based on how many pics it sent

Great to hear y'all are getting out there guys! I have got out there but a time or two, just too hot for me. Me and my son should be going to a peice of property to scout here pretty soon, and later on probably going to hunt some public land. He's been wearing it out lately, and already shot a doe and he's been trying to get me to go but I just cant stand the ticks and mosquitos haha

 

Sorry I have been MIA for so long. Been busier than heck trying to get things done before season hits. Food plots are in stands are set and starting to get a few bucks showing up on cam. Nothing big but a couple that have good potential. Still hoping to get some rain sooner rather than later. The water company loves me right now for watering my food plots Just downloaded Group me and send a PM to doublelung.
The count down is on but won't be able to make it out until at least next weekend. Good Luck to those of you who are already at it!

It's coming out here pretty quick too and beans.

 

It's been a long week but I'll be in a tree this weekend! I will be focused on shooting a doe and filling the freezer.
Than MI season opens on Tuesday (Oct 1), I'm not chasing any shooters yet in the state but that won't stop me from trying -at the very least in gives me the option to be in a tree during the week rather than just the weekends in WI.

 

I will be hunting Tuesday afternoon. I'm not seeing many bucks yet, so I'll be out to fill a doe tag unless a shooter surprises me.
