Great buck Junkie, go get him! I'd put him around 150, definite stud!

Last night's hunt was fun, got to watch a couple young bucks feeling their oats pushing does around and brought something home to boot. I didn't see any shooter bucks, at least that I could tell, but the woods were very busy for the last 2 hours of light. The prerut is definitely heating up, by this weekend we should see the big boys cruising. Thank goodness my buddy's place has deer, between us we saw 15-20 deer last night.

I forgot my camera at home so I can't put my doe on the board but I will get it tomorrow for sure.

Okay this is my weekend. I have 4 days from Friday till Monday to get it done and this will be my best chance. I do anticipate I will shoot something it's just a matter on how big. Since this may be my last real weekend before gun season I want to fill that archery buck tag. I have one spot for sure that is getting bucks visiting often now and had an awesome 10 pointer there last week on camera. I plan on taking the climber Friday and sitting all day. I should be seeing something.

    Good luck Brad!

I'll be AIS as much as possible this weekend, I have commitments today and tomorrow that will keep me out of the woods but I'll be hunting hard until the 9th or until I get something down. Rifle opens here on the 10th and that essentially represents the end of my bow season, I'll hunt a few more times after that but the conditions have to be perfect to get me in the stand.

Just posted my doe, we need to get some bones on the board!

Just got settled in for an unexpected hunt today after school. Hopefully the bucks will be on their feet for Halloween.

Man I love my ghillie suit! I heard some noise behind me while I was sitting in a lay down tonight. I slowly turned my head and a decent 6 point was standing less than 5 yards from me. He never saw me, but he was a little too small. Hopefully his daddy is hanging around in the area.

I'm stuck in meetings all day today, to say I'm going nuts would be an understatement. Good luck to everyone this weekend!

Hunt hard, hunt smart and hunt safe!

Pretty slow this morning, 2 small bucks in 5 hours. Hopefully this afternoon is better.

Watched a 6 point make a big scrape 40 yards in front of me last night. Didn't see anything this morning. While walking in this afternoon I bumped a deer right by my spot. I'm not sure but I think it was a doe. Hopefully she'll come back by with a horny rut-crazed buck in tow. Good luck everybody!

No luck this weekend, kind of a strange prerut here. Last Monday I had a little buck pushing does around but this weekend was dead. I didn't see a buck of any size in 4 long sits and very few signs of things heating up. Have to work in the morning but will be back out there tomorrow afternoon.

hey guys... sorry for the long delay between posts!

I've been hunting pretty hard the last 8 days and I had plenty of good encounters... Including a miss in Wisconsin on a decent 2 year old (i thought he was 3).

We are back one more time for 3 or 4 days coming up soon. Hopefully I can contribute a buck.

    Anyone get a buck yet!?!?

Well, I hunted my new property in Richland county the last three days. Missed that big ten that I posted pics of. He came in quick and I misjudged the range. Just took some hair off his back, thank god I didn't wound him. I won't get a chance to hunt him again until late season so I hope he holes up for gun season. Pretty upset about it but that's bowhunting, it was just good to see him on the hoof. Other than that movement seemed slow where I was.

Got blanked again tonight, my buddy's farm has turned into a ghost town since the middle of last week. Going to my place tomorrow hopefully there have been some deer move in as the rifle hunters are out "scouting".

Talked to the guy hunting the neighboring property to my buddy's tonight and he asked if we've seen a doe in the last couple weeks, he said he hasn't seen a doe in almost 3 weeks. We have, that is where I shot my doe last Monday, that night we saw 8 does between us. Since then only 2 in 6 sits, roughly 28 hours in the stand always sitting different sides of the property. The neighbor has been seeing little bucks but nothing else, sounds familiar. So much for being excited that his place had deer last week, looks like they have moved on for the breeding season.

I'm still hunting hard but it is pretty discouraging, I'll hunt every day until Friday then the orange army takes over.

Getting out after this rain/snow mix in wisconsin starting tomorrow morning. I'm hoping it will be all we need to get a bruiser on his feet!
