Hey guys, Brandon Bulva checking in. I guess I'm the fill in. I'm new to the bowhunting forum and am a very dedicated bow hunter for 15 years from west central Illinois. I have 5 cameras but choose not 2 use them last 2 seasons. I will b hunting a mix of private and public land this year. I have a 2 1/2 year old son so my time is limited. Here are some of my harvest from the last 5 years.
Wow I have the same bow as you, to say I'm concerned is an understatment. If I was you, i'm not sure what I would do? Did you get hurt? I'm assuming not because you dind't mention it. Please keep us in the loop on how Bowtech handles this situation.
Nice to meet you Brandon. Good luck this season looks like you'be put you some nice animals on the ground.
I have been very fortunate. I do have coun thanks Brad. I have been very fortinute. Countless hours on stand with very cautious planning and lots of luck.
Welcome to the team! Glad to have an Illinois hunter here, good deer out there. I bought my Illinois tag this year again, I'll be hunting private and public around Shawnee this year. Fingers crossed a big one walks by.
Where in west central Illinois you from? I’m originally and have private land in Whiteside County and about to move somewhere around Mercer county. I might have obtained permission in a new spot around there to and there’s a public land spot I’ll be searching around for the first time. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Anybody been shooting much? I myself am a lil behind but still getting a few sessions in every week for a month now. Successful seasons start at the range.
I have been shooting way to little. House shopping is wearing me out. I have to get out tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I had to take my bow to an authorized dealer so they could get ahold of their rep. Their rep then will get ahold of the customer service of bowtech. Then they will ship the limbs to the bowshop. Hopefully I will be back in business by the end of next week or the beginning of the following week. Nope I didn’t get hurt thankfully. I came to full draw and held. Then a loud pop, I let down immediately as it popped. The whole top right limb busted. They said I should be getting the new in house limbs so I should be good to go. Hopefully I won’t have another problem at all. I will say I have been looking at the Hoyt bows and I might buy one in a year or so Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

I had been shooting my bow a bunch, but we had a Tornado come through the community I live and work in. So it's been madness. We were lucky in that our home wasn't damaged, but lot around me were. Tons of trees down everywhere. I've probably have 12 hours on a chainsaw in the last weak, helping our in the area. I'll attach some pictures. We had lost power for alomst 2 days. No deaths from the Tornado or storms which is great. Was this storm reported in the news at all? Just wondering how much coverage it got. I really rocked the little town I live in and then 20 miles north were I work as well.
Not sure, may just be a spur of the moment type deal, but I think I have a set date around the weekend of Oct 20th. It's about 1:45hr drive from my house, easy to get up and do late morning mid day hunts.
I'm ready to be in the woods, but this humidity/heat needs to find a new home. Let's get that cool weather moved in.
If u can hit that nov 5-15 before gun season is always good where I hunt. There is a lot of big timber down there. Good luck
It’s been hotter than heck up here but I managed to get some preseason work done. We got our other half of the food plot planted the other day with oats, winter peas and brassicas. It’s already starting to germinate so I’m pumped. We also got cams up on a white oak that tends to drop early. We are getting some good pics and already have several rubs and scrapes in the vicinity. One sad note is we think the big 10 point my bro in law shot in the shoulder last season is still alive but in terrible shape. I’ll post pics before and after
