Well was an entertaining morning hunt! Saw 1 Spike and one I never saw his antlers but his body was big, snuck past me,I just caught from the front shoulder back and a glitter of sun came of of his headset,That was it for bucks. The 3 does you know about ,man I couldn't believe they bedded down 5o yards away from me. The spike wasn't tailing anyone and the big buck wasn't either cause the 3 does went left where he went right. Man you got to hate it when the shotguns go off, specially when you don't know where they are! Then you got to wonder if they shot the buck you been after for the last 3 years. I'll be out for a full day sit tomorrow.

Well guys, my season is essentially done, I could shoot another doe, but I need freezer space for the steer we're fattening right now. Also, my wife still has her either sex tag and I want her to get a buck so bad!

My goal however for the rest if this year, is this: I found out yesterday we can legally shoot hen turkey here in the fall. We have a completely albino turkey that's been cruising the ranch all summer and fall. I want to make her a full body pedestal fixture in my home haha. I'm putting down the bow, grabbing my browning and turkey vest and gonna get after her! It'll feel weird chasing turkey in the fall, but I'm pretty pumped to do so. I'll post some pictures of her when I get back to my laptop. Good luck to all those out there hunting! Tomorrow morning looks good around here.

Watched 2 bucks (both shooters, 1 STUD) harass the heck out of a group of 5 does/fawns for over an hour this evening... not all-out chasing/corralling, but not giving them any real comfort zone either. Unfortunately, they never came closer than 60 yards. It's about to catch fire in the O-H! All day sits for the next 3 days

Pretty slow for me tonight. It was raining off and on all day and I thought I had a window from 3:00-7:00 when it would be clear. I was wrong. The rain started around 5:00.

I had two does walk up behind me before I even got settled in. I was still moving around getting my harness situated and spooked them. After that nothing. I did however have this guy on camera.

YF, Ya know I only got to see him broadside on his strong side at 36 to 33 yards before I shot him and I guessed him to be bigger also, boy was I suprised when I walked up on him dead. Im not gonna make that mistake again... lesson learned.

Jeff, Congrats to your wife... Ill bet she was so excited, cant wait to hear the story and see the photos;)

    Josh , go gettem !!!

My 9 day vacation starts sunday nov 9, really looking forward to the non stop hunting.

Good luck out there josh, jj, Rocky and LF.

My wife did get the G2 buck! Not as big as we thought, I guess the trail camera was favorable to him haha. But, to hear the excitement in her voice and to know that she's officially hooked for life is what matters. This has been a three year process trying to get her one down. It all came together! 137.75" for her first. I'm probably the most proud and blessed husband in the world right now

I will be headed out tomorrow morning for one of my last sits with a bow unless I go out Wednesday before gun season. Have seen a couple shooters far out but, it seems the younger ones and deformed ones are the only ones presenting themselves. May take a doe before gun season just to get on the board.

Good luck to all who are going out this weekend, and congrats to those of you who have already been successful!
