I am very excited about this team and it is just not lip service. Looks to be solid. By far the best team on paper I have been part of.

Time to check in and assemble.

    Hey
Just got back from 8 days on the beach with the grandkids! Time to start prepping for this year! Late ,better late then no showing up huh! Sept 1st opening day,I'll miss it,be at work up north, back on the 2nd and have the whole month of September off.Going out tonight with a buddy from work that keeps telling me about these Mulie buck's that look like Elk and seem to have a hard time keeping there heads up cause of the mass on there heads. I've only seen one mulie where I hunt and I arrowed him. There way better eating than a whitetail and I find them better looking then a whitetail. Whitetails are harder to hunt though. So to say I'm pumped is an understatement! This friend doesn't hunt and he says it's all private property and he know's who own's the land and said he could get me on!!!!!! So that's what I'm doing tonight and after the deer make there way past to the river I want to hang a cam and locate a spot for a stand. Got a ton of yard work to do so I'll be back tonight after I get back and Introduce myself. I know a few on the team. :nana:

Checking in! Things are looking nice here in Kansas. Hoping to have another good year. Food plots are in, cams are out, have a few mature bucks to chase. Good luck out there everyone!

Alberta for me! Hey Jeff, land of the Booners eh Jeff, Kansas, that's all I ever hear about Kansas. All packed up and rarin to go, can't wait to see these Mulies my friend swears by. probably just regular sized deer. Seeing he isin't a hunter, he's probably thinking there big but not. Nothing wrong with going for a look, might just turn out right. I always wanted a spot for mulies also.

Mndeerskewer checking in. I've been away from the forums for the last year but pumped for the season now! Looking forward to putting my first bow kill on the ground this year. My 3rd season bowhunting. I hunt public land in central MN. I also put on for a permit to hunt the County park across the street from my house in the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities. If I get drawn (1 in 3 chance) I should have at least 50 pts for the team.

I'm not saying I wanna be captain and will officially remove myself for consideration of captain strictly due to grad classes and a busy fall ahead-I'll still hunt a lot :-) but I think we oughta get rolling on designating a captain (someone who posts regularly) and also start thinking of team names. This will be my third contest and I've seen things get hodge podged together at the last minute and it never turns out well.

    I'll nominate BJE as captain.

    For names I'll toss out:

    Tall tines, good times

Pope, young, and the lung busters

    Heavy hitters

    Team heart poke

I'm no good with names, but those are what I've got haha!

Also I'll add my blog address:

    Instagram:
    BNBowhunting

    Email:
    [email protected]

    And cell #:
    806-220-9802

These things are a lot more fun when everyone gets involved and participates beyond just posting on the team thread.

The Mulie Spot Is Not A Hit
Got to this spot and there is no way of accessing the place to hunt. There is but there isin't, it's a 700 yard walk to the trail then 300 yards in . The skeeters were so thick that I was inhailing them with each breath. Coughing up 3 & 4 at a time. Not for me this early in the seasoon. I've got to go in tomorrow & the next day to move and hang some stands. Hoping the skeeters aren't so relentless :violin:. Not looking forward to the next 2 days :nana: but a person s got to do what a persons got to do :nana:.Supposed to rain for the next 2 days also so that might quieten the sketters. My friend might have a few more options for mulie's also. LMAO, I told him not if the way in is through dense bush and blankets of skeeters! I'll also vote for BJE80 for captain.
