First sit of the year. Got busted while scouting for another camera spot by two small sixers. And saw a doe while putting the camera out. Not ideally where I wanted to sit tonight but I was running out of time and found a tree the wind worked with.
Had 2 does at 20 yards, surprised me and came in from downwind. Didn’t spot them until they were already at 25. Had bow in hand, 1 of them was broadside right out in that opening in my picture but she was nose up and staring right at me. Wind was swirling, should have just drawn but decided to enjoy the moment and wait for a better opportunity. Cleared a couple branches to open a little viewing window to the left up the field edge.
