Hell yea! Congrats man that's a dandy too!
I'll be back out hunting for a doe on the 15th. I'm back at home donning some projects to make the wife happy instead of being gone the whole 32 days haha. I'm just hoping I see one before gun season starts.

I pulled a ground sit this AM. Did some scouting and moved my stand. Saw two 150+ inch bucks on the camera in that area yesterday evening. Gonna be a good night in the stand this evening! Fingers crossed

I shot a nice doe last night. Really cool hunt...I didn't have much time after work, so I just followed a well-used trail in the snow and knelt between 2 hemlocks. About a half hour later 4 does came out. I shot one of the bigger ones at 25 yards.
I nicked a limb, and ended up hitting it too far back. I backed out right away and went back at first light this morning .
She had only gone about 65 yards, and was dead in her first bed. 20191115_155026.png

Awesome I can’t wait to see it! I’m still in Illinois and still nothing I want to send and arrow at yet but gonna keep pushing. Seen a buck far off In thick brush this morning look like decent tines just not sure how big. Then heard a buck grunt and seen the flash of a doe and a buck run by but not sure what he was either. Then a yearling deer came by. Just waiting on a big one!

Saw 24 deer total this morning. This buck came in chasing a doe and grunting. Made a thirty yard shot that was a little far back but hit the liver. He went 60 yards and I watched him fall. Fun hunt and got some points for the board! Resized_20191118_100657(1).jpeg 20191118_092002.jpeg

Damn boys, were really killing it. I’ll sit down and get my buck on the scorecard tonight. We gotta be in the top 5 with all this success we’ve had.

Once everyone has there deer entered we’ll be at 676”. That’s a solid score boys.

Don’t forget we get 50 for every doe or second buck, and that REALLY adds up especially since we have 4 bucks on the score card.

We have a legit chance at this contest.

Well guys today ended my last day here in Illinois. I had no luck. Maybe I can see if I can get an elusive NH buck for us but they are hard to come by. And maybe but not sure there’s a slim chance I can come back in December. Time will tell though

Sorry to hear that, but I’m in the same boat. During my time off I think I counted over a dozen different bucks, all just spikes, forks or small basket racks. Only 2 that were slightly bigger, still not shooters. I’ll get something on the board before long. There’s a rumor flying around central IL from one of the local pro shops of a buck that was brought in to a butcher during 1st shotgun season that was field dressed and caped, still weighting in at 320#. Haven’t seen any hard evidence, but I’ll help the rumor spread. Interested to hear more. Keep hunting hard!!!
