Ok so there's still time for this team to kick it in the a $$. I think contect rules state jan 5 or 15....lets do this!
Congrats Junior! Ill be out for a few hrs tom morning then tom ngt I'm headin to OH for the wknd with the inline. Archery season runs all the way through Jan for me so hopefully I can put 50 more pts on the board with a slickhead.
Ok...so this ends up being an interesting story...as I was attempting to post that the contest rules state we have until jan 30 to fill our tags, I noticed a deer in the corn plot at about 60- 65 yards away. I was in the "tower of terror" blind with the muzzleloader. I won't bore everyone with the details, ut just know that I have never shot this borrowed firearm....long story short, got my 1st deer with the smoke pole...another dry slick head...this was oneof those times where everything was meant to happen....I decided late that I was going to sit, figured there was no way I'd ever see anything with all the crunching I had to do walking in on the snow, ended up shooting the deer completely where I had definitely not aimed so the scope is shall we say a bit off....regardless I recovered the deer less than 50 yards away! As my Dad pointed out, I did a hat trick this year...1 deer with the bow, 1 with the r ifle & 1 with the smoke pole! Guess its good luck to be on the BH.com team forum while in the stand!!
Hi mya. I've sat thru 3 days of vendor product demos and have one more tomorrow before flying home...If you've never had the luck to ensure vendor IT demos is like buying a car all day...AAAaaarrrg! I've been hoping the front that is coming toward NC gets moving so I can hunt on Sat, but its looking like a crappy rainy day...maybe thats good after a crappy week.
Glad its now been raining here! It has snowed off and on every day for at least the last week! Only amounts to about 6 inches thus far but every little bit counts! Cant wait to get the sled out!! woot woot!!
Ill be out for a few hrs tom morning. Been working a lot of OT lately so it'll be my first sit in almost 2 wks.
Likewise. Been in NYC, DE and OH, working like crazy and the past 2 Sat have been rain. I'm done working till 1/5 and am hoping to get some hunting with the gun and bow over the next 2 wks.
5 more days till this guys back out with a bow! Got two shooters on cam an a pile of doe so let's pray second season goes better
