Its unlimited doe in my zone but shot a doe that hung out infront of me for a hr and wouldnt leave last yr and when she took off I seen a massive 10 take off so now I get a little nervous shooting doe so close to the rut.

Hey guys, havent been on here in a while. Shot two more "does" over the last few weeks that both turned into button heads upon retrieval lol talk about bummed!!! Gun season starts in a week and half so hopefully I can bag my buck this weekend with the bow cuz it will be the last chance i get to hunt cuz i will be too fat! Baby is due in December so we will see how much more walking around I can do :) Good luck everyone...the rut is near!

Given her some time. Good shot, but not pleased with the penetration. I'll go look for her in about 30-45 minutes.

Good blood here...But,I don't like there are no bubbles. We saw a deer ~80 or so yds further take a few bounds...we're backing out to give her more time.

Yep, if she's dead now she'll stillbe dead later. Take your time and good luck.

Followed her 250-300yds and lost the blood trail. Went back and had my son get my terrier who streched it out to find one last decent spot ~ 1/4 mile and she got confused by crisscrossing trails. We swept about a 60degree radius she was headed toward a pond, but also swept a swamp, power line and thickets--nothing other that my dog and son almost getting bit by this bugger.

Looks like the arrow broke @ 6-6.5" so I think the arrow careend down off the shoulder bone.

Food and Advil before taking another look. And half hoping she pops up looking for food/water this evening.

I have a feelin I'm gonna be eatin a tag sandwhich this season. It ends on November 16th with no Sunday hunting. We do get a late season after rifle that starts December 26th until Mid January I think. But it's almost pointless to go out unless you have the only food plot in the area an it's super secluded. Deer run full tilt in anythin that's open like a field or anythin like that after rifle for good reason, It's sounds like freakin WW3.
