Ok so I've been gettin pretty bummed out about huntin even though it's only the first week. All of my target bucks haven't been on cam since the beginning of September. Well today I figured if make a quick stop an check one of my cams on the way home from work. It's on a treeline borderin a pond an overlooks a hay feild. The cams not far from one of my stands, maybe 40 yards max, well I don't really expect to see anythin outta this spot until the corn field behind my stand is cut. What a freakin surprise I got, Número Uno is BACK!!!! He ain't no monster sorry guys but for my first buck with a bow I'd be happy to take em!
What ever makes youhappy brother. Try hanging a couple drippers 40 yrd about in the tree line I think it will help draw them in.
Ok I'm back. Baby was born on 10-1 and spent an entire week in intensive care. Her and mom both had a serious blood infection and fever during labor. Pretty wild week!! But the baby is home now and we are getting adjusted. Hunting will have to wait a little while. I'm confident I could take a nice buck early nov though.
Congrats Kyle! You and momma get sleep when you can. .. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk now Free
When I was tight on $ sometimes I would just take a small container of vanilla in one of the old 35mm film containers and dribble it over a log, tree trunk or a branch low enough to be a licking branch...seemed to create interest pre-rut anyways. .. Wish I woulda read that before makin it out the stand! Thanks for the idea! It's another slow evenin in the PA deer woods. Nothin but crows an squirrels so far
Wow did I miss a few pages! Im back from God's country in Northern WI...First Congrats Kyle & family! Second went to check the camera the other day on the secondary food plot and surprise surprise....8 pt buck in the wee hours of the morning along with 3 young bachlor bucks, all about 4-6 points. The young bucks were sparring and bedding down in the plot. Once they left, 2 very plump looking yotes came through and then hid in the corn for awhile...guess I now know where most of the turkeys went! Unfortunatly, boyfriend decided to get horn envy yesterday when I said I was going to sit in this plot last night after work..so I guess Ill be looking for a new place to hunt now...too bad I wasted all that time and effort...
I keep a bottle of vanilla extract in my bag at all time. In early season ill make a scent drag with it and I put some on some low branches they can reach and they love it
Fuz your picture will keep getting bigger soon. Just keep feeding those doe and a big boy follow one of thos3 doe in
