    hello ladies and gents...

happy berfday, DA! I turned 32 in august, so im just a smidge greyer than u!!
one more full day to wait, Fuzz. and then its go-time, brother!

I missed a good buck tonight guys. im so mad at myself. I had a small limb that I was gonna cut, then decided that I didn't need to. I figured there was a 0.001% chance of it being an issue. LOL!!! sure enough, he came in and stood broadside at 25 yards. my arrow deflected off that stupid branch and it looked like a curveball. hit the ground 6 or 7 yards in front of him.

the good news is is that he only ran maybe 20 yards and stopped. he stood there behind a giant oak for five minutes or so, then went back to browsing for acorns as he meandered over the ridge. so hopefully he wasn't spooked too bad and he will still be around there this weekend.

stupid damn branches and the idiots who don't trim them...

Distance from the tower stand to the east & Aholes property is 30 yards. Distance from to the north is beyond my shooting limitations. I practice out to 50 yards at the target, but not routinely. Max distance I would consider shooting is 40 yards

I got out for a few hours before work this am. Had three doe and a little scrubby 5pt come by. Just found out that I may have to work the wknd but won't find out for sure until tom. I'm gonna be pissed if I can't make the trip for PAs opener but I guess I should just be happy I have a decent job.

Good luck to everyone heading out and be safe.

This was kind of the conclusion I came to...too bad I didnt have the shot oppertunity to try the thoery! I did see 6 does though. They appearred out of nowhere from the corn (was like the animal version of children of the corn!) They played in the water hole, walked around but by the time a shot presented on the old mommy doe, it was getting pretty darn dark so I passed...sigh Upside was I didnt have to deal with all the work afterwards!! Normally dont mind the work but I was tired!
