Well guys, my internet service is finally letting back on...I guess the slow down was their way of spanking me for too many video clip uploads last week! LOL I had an encounter last night with this big flippin bruiser...sigh...maybe I will get to encounter him again this year with a different outcome!! Got my wife to take off tomorrow and friday so I can get out. Shes got 18 days of vaction?! Lol

 

Working in DE with occassional trips to NYC during the week, so only hunting on Saturdays at present...though its archery only in my part of NC till 11/1.

I hung some stands / set up ground blinds this past weekend. I'm getting ready for that 10/21 opening day. The bucks have really dropped off the cameras since they shed their velvet. Hopefully they'll show up again by the time the season rolls around.

Well, I won't be getting out for a little while longer. Stuck at home with pneumonia on antibiotics. Hopefully this z-pack will knock it outa me by the wknd so I can get out a few days next week.

Belive me, I'm itching to send one of these phatheads through a deer. I had to back out of my trip to ohio trip this weekend but I have a bunch of time off come november so its all good. Got another shooter on cam up in Pa so hopefully I can make it up for the opener.

 

Went out today and only seen 2 spikes 1 of them with about a inch and a half and the other with about 10 inch spikes didnt kill anything but a good day in the woods

 

In the stand now. Had a large buck outta range yesterday. Hopefully he doesn't bust me again. Moved to a different tree so we'll see!

No, didn't see anything!! Good news though, it was raining acorns. Still a great area and I am sure I will be filling at least one more tag there.

 

well guys and gals, im stayin outta the woods until we get a frost. I got into a huge nest of seed ticks last time out. no big deal to me. I don't like em, but no biggie. I thought I got em all off of me. then last night, during her bath, I found six on my one year old daughter. that WAS a big deal to me. sooooo, im gonna hold off huntin fer awhile. should get our first frost in the next few weeks usually, so I wont be outta the action too long.

 

That sucks man. Im out now got busted by a doe around 530 then seen a opossum then just had a doe at 50 yrd then wind changed she didnt snort but she got out of here. Ill be out again tonight
