Last year. I only see him during the rut.

If you pause at 40 seconds you can see he's got good width and main beam length. Lots of little junk on him, he doesn't look it but he has around 11 pts. And I believe he was 4 last year.

Back inlet...just left of the big stem. Left up the ridge is one bedding area, straight back another...left ridge (out of pic) a third...all pine scrub. Behind them oaks, but its too early for acorns.

The heat got to me before it got to the deer. It was in the upper 80s without the sun reflecting off the water. Final observation count for the day 7 turkeys, egret, blue heron, many pan fish, turtles, 100+ squirrel sightings and numerous bugs and mosquitos.

The ankle is quite sore today...I'm glad I didn't try the long hike (~1.5 miles)...

Nice scenery regardless! Would have been nicer with some der at the end of an arrow, but still nice to sit out and watch everything even if its not deer!

Five more days and Ill be out in the stand....:nana:

Any day in the woods is a good day, though those 40 degree, rainy and blowing 30+ are often tough to appreciate. Alas, only 114+ more days in our regular season...then we have urban archery. ..:)

No luck for me on the opener. Seen 4 opening morning, none in the evening. Next day I seen one doe come in before i could see enough to shoot, then once again nothing in the evening :( My husband got his first bowkill though! A nice yearling doe for the freezer :) Hope my luck turns around cuz right now if feels like a repeat of last year...sllllooooowwww hunting.

Nothing for me opening weekend. I saw one doe Saturday evening at dark but she was too far. Nothing at all on Sunday except lots of mosquitoes. It is still hot here. It was upper 80's all weekend. It was still nice to be in the woods though. I'm going to get some evening hunts in this week and then it hard again this weekend. Good Luck to Everyone!

I was unable to get out this weekend, was extremly busy with things. i hope to get out this coming weekend. I don't see any chance of a evening hunt after work since im wroking well into the evening everyday for the pass 6 weeks. friggen OT.

Well guys I have run into some more bad luck....probably gonna withdraw from the contest. Lost our other farm yesterday due some some idiots again......now we dont have anywhere to hunt. So I guess u can see if u can replace me with an alternate....would hate for me to be taking up space on the team. Good luck to everyone!
