i was gonna get a viewer but i get excited and would be hooping and a hollering in the woods scaring everything out of the woods 2 miles out. My wife yells at me when i look at them on the computer because when i get a nice buck i yell (ALRIGHT!!!ALRIGHT!!!! ALRIGHHHHHT!!!!)
OK...So here are some pics from one of my food plot sites...one week after planting...The totally awesome Robinhood arrow from yesterday, and some pics of target bucks for this year...
I hear you there! Once we get back home we throw the cards into the computer and then we do the hoop and holler. Poor dog usually jumps and hides!
Thanks! Thats the first one I had actaully stick in the end of another arrow. Pretty exciting yet then I think of the cost for more arrows...sigh...I told my other half that we should be filming. He said "Nah". We would have had it on camera!! I can guarentee you I will nearly be living in the tree stand once the leaves are off the tree. Of course around here it seems Halloween weekend is almost always awesome for big buck movement. Anyone else notice a particular time period year after year that seems productive?
One last thought for this evening...if anyone is interested in doing the "Group Me" App, PM me your cell number and Ill set up a group. I understand everyone can't or may not want to do this which is alright.
sounds like yall had a good weekend! mine was busy, but good. checked a couple cameras today, and had a new fella show up. also had a buck that appears to be boned out already. man im pumped. first pic is the new buck. next is the bone. buck in the background.
That new guy is a stud! An the buck in the back sure does look like hes got a bit of shine to his head gear!
You guys are killing me with these early seasons. I still have about 2 months! This year I have some of the biggest bucks I've ever had on camera though so I'm super pumped.
Also I think this groupme idea sounds neat. It'd be fun if we could get everybody to join Fuzz's group.
Welcome USFAN, lots of background to get caught up on in the thread...when you get a chance, can you give us a bit about yourself, where you'll be hunting, etc -Bill
Mainly I'll be hunting public land. The State Forest I hunt has an archery only area. I'll be hunting from a ground blind, as I'm not comfortable climbing yet. (Was in accident in Jan and broke neck.)
Damn man, glad your ok and getting back out there this year. I took a fall 4 years ago and broke my L1 and L3 vertebra. That first climb is a little shakey but just like anything else its no big deal now. I went with a treewalker after my fall becaus of the stability and comfort and could not be happier with it.
Tell me bout it! I mean I ain't got as long of a wait as you but at just over 5 weeks till it starts an times just draggggin on.
