Counting down the days to Oct 1st when whitetail opens up here in Lower NY. I have a lot of good bucks on trailcams and a lot of good spots set up on other land I hunt that have known to produce good deer. I will keep yall posted!

Good news and bad news. Good news is I got home last weekend and put a trail cam out. Bad news is I came home to check it this weekend and got almost 1000 pictures of nothing but does and fawns, neither of which I can shoot. We'll have to see what happens in the next couple of weeks before the season.

Been a little busy with work lately. Did not get out until this past Saturday. Saw nothing in the A.M or PM. Goodluck to those hunting.

Hey guys... I've only been out once on Saturday evening. Deer count: 7 bucks and 4 doe... 5 of the bucks were youg but two of them were in the 120-130 range. Never had the opportunity for a shot. Got some decent pictures. I'll try and get a couple of them up later on. Good luck to all!

I think I have you beat on the bad news! Not that I'm happy about it!
Good news and bad news. I've had one of my cams out on private land and have been getting good pics. Bad news is I went to check it on Saturday, and it is gone! It looks like a tresspasser has a new camera, and now I'm one camera less. I'm not happy.

    Hey guys,

Went out this week on tuesday night and did a little scouting, Plenty of deer in our "salad" (peas, wheat, and oats) food plots. 5 two year old bucks, one 130"ish buck and loads of does and fawns. None of the big boys stepped out during daylight though. We've got a few 140 inchers on trail cams but still none of the monsters I'm looking for... I really don't care at this point though, I just want to be in a tree!!! Two more weeks to go!

I hunted Saturday morning and saw one spike buck. Seems that since the temps have cooled down my sightings went down also.............strange. I plan on trying to get some afternoon hunts this week if I can break away from work. How is it going for everyone else.

Bad news. I might be starting late in the season. I have been really strapped on money and have had car issues and literally cant afford the $100 license only working 20hrs a week while in school with 2 unemployed parents. Don't think I am gonna be much use this year but theres still hope. Sorry guys

Doe down gents...................50 points for us, will get pics up soon. Story: Decided to set up in a group of about 30 oaks which are dropping acorns like rain. At 6:45 P.M I had 3 doe come in slowly feeding. Middle sized doe presented a twentynine yard shot. I aimed for the heart noticing she was acting a little on edge expecting her to drop some when she heard the shot. Well.................she did not drop an inch, heart shot her, ran 30 yards and watched her pileup.
