looking good Andrew, I ran into a problem shooting today all my shots now shoot 2.5 inches lower than before and my release is malfunctioning I don't know if the two are a problem or if the release is causing the bad shooting I have tried cleaning the release but its not working its a truball fang four so it is a pain to try and clean I'm going to have to take both to a pro shop Tuesday and see what it is mean while i'm gunna try and contact truball there is always something right before the season.
I may have fixed the release just a little WD40 and its acting like new ill shoot after dinner see if that helped
Guaranteed that release being hard to release is the issue of your arrows dropping Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Nice bear pics! Good luck with those. Got 3 cameras up today. Check in a week to make sure they are working. I could use some more shooting after today. Shoulder was getting tired without much shooting. Just need some more reps. Shot well at first, but then started being pretty inconsistent. Get those bows out if you haven't. Looks like some have been out more than I have. Good work! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like to go shoot after a workout. or working around the house. anything that causes me to be a bit fatigued. I figure if I can shoot well when my arms/body are tired then I should be able to shoot just fine if my body is fresh. plus for me I'm walking around in the mountains and up and down ridges. but the key is not "practice makes perfect", but "perfect practice makes perfect."
I thought in honor of the eclipse I would prepare my bag for the season 25 days and counting Sent from my iPod touch using Bowhunting.com Forums
I usually do the same when I prepare for elk hunts. I'll get winded and then shoot. For whitetails, I just sit in a stand. Straight shooting is most important thing. I like to pull back early and hold while practicing too. Wait a minute and then shoot. I did get 5 miles in Saturday, but I'm still out of shape compared to elk hunting shape I normally get in. We will be sitting on wallows mostly and not moving much with my dad. You mountain guys have to be tougher all the time. I just try to be tough enough when needed.
Man I hope your dad gets one this year, I'd love to be able to go spot and stock with my dad one day, maybe it will happen. I'm jealous!
Looking good guys. I just got back from Maine last night. My wife and I went up to Rangeley for a little getaway. We brought our bows up and did some shooting. I never put my camera back out after I pulled it from the state land spot for new batteries. It's too close to the season to try to put it back out and check it before the season starts. I found some REALLY good sign when I was coming out with the camera, however. The best part is that the best looking spot is about 200 yards closer to the truck than where I was originally planning.
Looks like you're set up to film? Do you do all your hunts? I've been saying for years I'm going to start filming. I even considered going to Heartland Bowhunter's film school. I just haven't found the money to dive into equipment. I have too many hobbies.
I do film! Tell you what it's hard but very rewarding not gunna lie I applied to bowhuntnor die a few times Sent from my iPod touch using Bowhunting.com Forums
That's pretty sweet man. If I get a deer or two early this year I'll come out and film for you if you want. That might take some of the burden of carrying all the gear/needing 3 hands and get some footage that BHOD is looking for.
Out shooting my bow today and I "totally eclipsed" my previous record at 40yds! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
