Well last night one of my target bucks have into true food plot but hung up on the opposite edge and didn’t present a shot. Then I proceeded to have one to many whiskeys and not wake up for this morning hunt. My uncle did though and sat in a different stand. Said the buck walked right under where o would have sat. This season has been frustrating to say the least. I usually have 2 or 3 in the freezer by now. Ridiculous! I hunted at dad's last night and saw absolutely nothing. Swapped card in camera. Somehow, last time I checked it, I turned it on video. 115 short videos to go through. Not one deer on there! Coons and squirrels galore. All I can say is that I'm sorry for not contributing more. Had 6 does come in front of me perfectly at 15 yards. Not alert. Ideal situation. The only problem was a big buck was lingering at 40 yards across the fence. He eventually went the other way. The does were saved by big buck. Pretty good hunt! Hotter than Haiti around here.
Nice scarps! It is 60 degrees here. Temps should drop to 35 or so tonight then really start to cool this weekend. Man it sounds like you were close to making it happen. That is awesome.
A little horn porn for your viewing pleasure. This was killed just west of Flora, Il this morning. A friend of mine knows the guy and said he had quite a history chasing after this buck. Im shotgun hunting this weekend but still have a buck tag for the bow I will try to fill after this weekend. Good luck guys!
