I just picked up evercalm this year. Doesn't seem to be spooking them. Wind is still key for mature deer. I think of it this way. If it can fool some younger deer around me and a mature deer is skirting that area looking for reactions from the young deer. It should help.

Almost took a wallhanger driving to hunt yesterday and also driving home. Had several smaller bucks in shooting range, but no go. I saw a shooter from Friday morning. His one side is broken completely off. The remaining side is all broken up. That guy must be a warrior because he is in the same area. Big bodies deer. I halfway still want to shoot him. I think he is an old deer. I would send his tooth in so I could get age.

2 yr old buck down. Not real big
..may score 80 inches but I'm ecstatic. Hunting set up worked perfect and I was running out of time for rut hunting.

Had a decent 6 point come by me yesterday but I knew he was going to walk right past my buddy who had never got a deer so I let him go and listened for a shot... he missed lol. I’m not hunting today but this weekend I’m going down to a buddies property with a group of friends. I have Never hunted there and they always take some deer so I’m excited

Didn’t hunt this morning because my friend shot this guy that night and couldn’t find him so I helped track this morning and still can’t find em.. crazy how tough these animals are..! Perfect blood trails for 800 yards with bubbles in the blood the whole way. [IMG][IMG]

GOOD LUCK! Friend found one the next day from eagles flying around. Coyotes had cleaned the meat off in less than 12 hours. We never found the one my cousin shot a couple weeks ago.

Won’t be making that trip with my buddies anymore this weekend.. got tragic news that a good family friend passed away in a car accident this evening.. truly heartbroken. She was 17... way too young. Not sure when I’ll get back out in the woods but Its not even on my mind right now
