Always tough losing a spot! I feel you there. Lost my SD lease two years ago and have been unable to find a new one since.

Walked in with a nice 8 chasing a doe in food plot. Right by my dad’s stand. Heard deer were moving this morning.

Sitting over some food plots tonight. Nobody has hunted this property this year so could be interesting. Checking the cameras on the way out.

Keep at it Andrew. Hunting is a fluid experience. Things come and go. I hunt on average hunting spots and have a variety of challenges. All I know how to do is keep hunting. Make the best decision on a stand site sit and then repeat. Grind.

Well I guess that’s why they call it hunting… Had a nice doe within about 26 yards, right as I’m pulling back to take a shot I hear gunfire… Muzzleloader doesn’t start until tomorrow I guess somebody was just trying to get an edge up… Did some calling and rattling at about 6 and by about 6:25 I had five young bucks in on my Stand one of which was about a three-year-old six point that I would have taken if it was later in the season. Got to experience some snort wheezing and a little bit of sparring got some good footage, all in all pretty good hunt although it was about 20° too warm

Had a couple young bucks come through and a ton of does. I did have a new shooter show up on cam though. Hope he can make it through gun season.

Calm and quiet here too. Dad shot a doe last night. I have terrible cough that can’t be helping.

Was real close this afternoon. 10 yds closer and I would have shot. Nice 120ish 8 pt at 35 yds at 130pm.

Had yearling at 30 yards. She is actually in this picture if your eyes can see. Small buck chasing this morning.

Cousin shot a small 8. First deer with bow. Hopefully we find him. Arrow stuck in him.

Cousin said he ran 50 yards. Stopped and started blowing at him. Should be able to find some good blood. Damp and foggy morning. Very peaceful. I’m really excited for him.
