Next Sunday I'll be in the tree stand hoping to get a doe down.

Hunting out west without my bow was harder than I thought. Also makes me appreciate how much I can do at a younger age than my dad. He gets around fine, but just doesn't want to hunt too hard. He walked 2 miles everyday before this trip.

Good luck to everyone out there. Once season starts I'll be updating all the time.

2 weeks and closing here. Wife's college basketball season generally kicks off in mid October every year as well. I have to hunt whenever I get a chance in October, perfect conditions or not. Beggars can't be choosers.

Did a final check yesterday to make sure stands were still there and safe. Hung a camera on an old logging road behind my house. My 9 year old daughter is sitting with me in the ground blind for the opener Sunday morning....I think she's more excited than I am :)

I watched this series this morning from DIY_Sportsman on YouTube. I've watched a lot of his other videos and I really like his style and he's very innovative. The filming series was pretty informative and it made me want to invest in a camera and start filming.

[IMG] my buddy checked my trail cam I threw behind his house last week that I’ll be hunting with him opening morning because there is a bunch of does there, and we finally got out first set of antlers on it. Probably a younger deer that I hope my friend shoots for his first deer but pretty cool looking buck I wouldn’t mind shooting late season

Got My clothes washed and packed up! Knives sharpened and my climber ready to go! Just have to organize my gear bag, buy tags and I’m set. Working doubles this week so hard to find time to go get tags
