while setting up a trail cam today I scared a die with 2 fawns out walking in.. walking out these deer saw me at 150 yards and came all the way up to 10 yards curious to what I was! It was amazing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
this time next month we'll be sitting in a tree here in TN.. these next 30 days are going to be the longest ever..
Just sitting at work wondering what is on the trail cameras. Those cool things drive me crazy with anticipation. A week sit to make sure they are working and then wait until season to grab the cards while I'm hunting. Oct 1st is opening day here.
Next Saturday starts the early doe season. I probably won't get to hunt til a few days after. I'd like to get some venison in the freezer. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Practiced tonight with my wife. We're both shooting well and ready to hunt! We have two and a half more weeks here in Missouri before the opener, but I hope to get out soon! Sent from my HTC6545LVW using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Finally got some rain. One of our plots. 3/4 acre in the middle of some set-aside. Was planted for almost 3 weeks before we got any moisture. Glad to see it's finally taking off Sent from my SM-G920V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Heading out to go do some long range shooting with a buddy in a bit. I haven't shot since the weekend. I have a crazy few weeks coming up so the off-season is continuing to fly by faster than normal. I can't complain about that. I feel incredibly behind the 8-ball, however, but I say that every year. The last season or two I've found that my excitement isn't for the first days of the season, but for a good hard cold front in late October. Either way you can bet I'll be in a tree come the opener.
Fletched all my new arrows. Broadheads just came in the mail. Been shooting at elevation most of the time. Now it's time to start working on the clothes and arranging my garage for the 3 month labor of love that is deer season in VA Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
Kroh, from all the photos and videos I've seen of South Dakota, it seems like it has some beautiful scenery. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
celebrated my dads birthday today and surprised him with a new set of arrows, he still needs to practice though lol! Sent from my iPod touch using Bowhunting.com Forums
It's definitely beautiful. I'll be sure to post some pictures throughout the season. I hunt everything from timber, wetlands, prairie to the black hills. My first deer hunt will be the MN opener. I have a small chunk of land over there. Not a very old age class but some nice ones slip through. After that I'll be heading west for mule deer in Wyoming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Squirrel season opens here Friday so that will pass time until September 30th! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Heading out to scout a small property right now. Putting up a cam. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
that's exciting. I cant wait to get out this weekend. gotta hang one more set of stands and check cameras. after that its the waiting game. not much longer tho!
Went to check my trail cam that has all my big bucks on it.... and somebody stole my card and turned my camera off... and it's private property. Very upsetting.. so I checked another cam at a different place (because it's raining here) that's only been out a few days and these are the only little guys on it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Man I hate it that someone messed with your cameras. It really bites when people can't keep their hands off others property. Blessings...........Pastorjim Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
