I'm heading out to the stand soon. Today is my wife and I anniversary. We are going to celebrate it tomorrow evening. Today is also my dad's birthday. He's the one responsible for getting the hunting bug. He's been gone 8 years now, hunting without him still feels like something is missing. Here's hoping pops sends a buck my way. Good luck fellas.

Went out to shoot my bow the other day after not shooting it for about 2 weeks and was hitting inches high and I’m starting to have shoulder problems again which isn’t good since bow season just started. Last to sits were good for seeing deer but nothing to shoot at yet. Had 2 small bucks in range last night for 2 hours. Neither being legal. This morning I saw 10 total. Another small buck this morning st 35 yards and 8 does all inside 50 but not closer than 40. Didn’t feel comfortable with shot. I’m done until possibly Monday evening. I finally got out for my first sit tonight. I had a few a couple does/fawns come by. I'm going to try and get out in the morning for a couple hours.
I didn't hunt tonight but went to the stand. Had to replace a strap that I noticed yesterday that had gotten really bad. Also put up a scrape dripper. Still feel like I'm playing catch up from being behind all summer.

Checked my camera tonight! I couldn’t get 3 does to leave the bait whenever I walked in to 45 yards and then a little 6 point came in and wouldn’t leave, and for the icing on the corn I’ve got 2 real nice bucks hitting the corn! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
