Cool. I have a Canon G40. I have been pretty lazy about filming the last couple of years. I'm trying to get motivated to do it. I might try to get a stabilizer mount for a go pro and have that on there if nothing else.

All my trail cam activity has slowed completely to a halt. I haven’t seen a single buck in days. I got 2 pics last night of a doe and that’s it. It’s not looking too good for my season right now

How often are you checking cameras?

Every couple days. It shouldn’t really matter since my sisters are always outside. I’m thinking it’s because the acorns are starting to drop.

You might be right. I know they are hitting them pretty good up my way. The been fields have cooled off. I try not to check my cameras for at least two weeks. Thats probably to often.
I wouldn't worry to much about it. I killed plenty of deer without a camera.

Yeah I never have had any trail cameras out. For some reason I like the surprise of not knowing what’s around. I do sit and watch fields a few times before season so I have already seen some bucks before opener but history always repeats itself and there are plenty of opportunities to be had.

I agree with the both of you. I’m actually thinking about putting my feeder out without a camera on it.

Well... I’ve temporarily lost my big chunk of property to hunt. The landowners grandma just died and her will gives him one side of the highway and his aunt gets the other side, but his aunt is angry because his side of the highway is worth more. So he’s trying to get everything settled with his aunt before I go out there.

Well guys its getting close to the opener here in Ohio
Saturday is go time & I'm excited.. New bucks are showing up on all of my properties and the hit-list is growing!
Weekend temps are showing low 70's and pushing a south wind
With the wind predictions i'll be chasing does instead of bucks but i'm just excited to be out after em!

Good luck man, hopefully you can stick something. Our opener is Monday. Shoulder feeling better, still sore but manageable. Start physical therapy Thursday. If feeling good hope to get some more practice in before I head out. I'm missing being out in the stand. Just wish this rain would go away

I agree about history repeating itself. I have definitely benefitted from running cameras but have certainly killed a bunch of deer without them. It's funny if you stop and think about it. The guys just starting out have quite a bit of technology at their disposal.

Good Luck! The only thing new showing up on my cameras is a trespasser...

Hopefully things settle down for you. like Josh said you have certainly had more than your share of hunting ground drama.

Glad to hear your shoulder is feeling better.

Thats points on the board and meat in the freezer Caleb. Couple more days and you can get after them.

If you ever want to test your marriage have your wife help you put up a couple ladder stands. We both had the morning off so we dragged the platforms for the two ladder stands out into the woods. We made quick work of the first one and then put up the hang on stand we replaced with the ladder stand. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to get the second ladder stand up but everything is in position and ready to go. hopefully we can get that up soon. I don't like mucking around back in the woods near a bedding area but it has to be done. I'm almost ready.

Haven’t seen those pics yet. Did you PM Brad about only having one pic with bow? There have already been two that only had one pic and they were counted.
