good job mudshark. i had a slow evening yesterday since the only stand the wind was right for is one that i only hunt during the rut. tonight im letting things settle down and am gonna try it again tomorrow evening. and MN-IN A TREE i am excited for this cold front coming down too. lows in the mid 30's will make the deer move better.

It was a rainy morning but my freezer was empty of venison. Most Recent Info from my game camera revealed that a group of does was going by my camera every morning between 715 and 745. i was there at 610 and when i turn off my flash light i heard a deer snort. i thought oh great i spoked them out of there. but i climbed up anyways. i'm sitting there and at about 0655 i remebered my cell phone was still on so i went to silence it and it beeped and i heard another deer snort. i figured i was screwed. (my son sent me a trade request from a fantasy Football league we are in together) i wanted to scream at that point at him and me.
At 0712 this lone doe came in to my set up and started to feed on the beech nut and acorns all over the floor of the woods. she kept feeding my way. i said to myself when she gets to this one tree that i'm going to shoot her. well she did but she turned to go back but i was already drawn. She was quartering away, it felt good so i let it fly. she kicked took a step and kicked again. she made a mad dash for some thick brush and she disappeared. a few minutes later i climbed down and went over to check for sign. However i could not find any blood ( RAINING). i found the arrow and there was no blood on it, and a little green, but i knew that cause she was quartering away. I called a friend, he met me at my house and we gave her a good 1 1/2 before started back after her. we searched for what seemed forever. To make a long story a little shorter my friend found my doe

Went to sit in one of my stands yesterday morning. Got to the spot and no stand. Having huge poaching problems this year. Have one guy on camera with his bow in hand. Now stealing stands what the heck! I just don't get it. Sat in one of the rifle stands and shot my first coyote . 30 yards first arrow he spun circles was at 20 yards put a second one in him.
