I will be out sunday night. I am hoping to pull the rabbit out of the hat that evening. Once mid December rolls around I will be doing 5 plus sits a week until the end of the season if need be.
Right here shark! I ended up not getting out Sunday, but I did on Tuesday. passed on the same decent six I did a couple weeks back and got trapped in my tree by 6 does. I was thinking of grunting at them to spook them, but we have a few inches of snow on the ground here and the moon was out so I could see them like it was day. I watched them for an hour. They where within 30 yards for most of that hour so it was fun to watch them. This weekend I work and the weekend after I have a wedding to be at. That and school will keep me limited.
i have been working 8-5 and just bought a house. i havent been able to go for 2 weeks which sucks. this weekend ill be able to go but it is gun season but hopefully ill be able to go some before the end of the season.
I know you are around MN TREE, Jadod and Gutone4me what about everyone else? Its rifle season here and my son shot his first DOE yesterday. My daughter, she has Not killed a deer yet in her brief hunting life (this is her 3rd year). She stepped up and said she wanted to gut his doe. He didn't make avery good shot. One lung and guts. It was a mess and she made short work of the gutting job. blood up to her elbows. What a TROOPER. Good job CJ and Brie
I was able to put two more in the freezer with a gun on opening day, so my freezer is getting pretty full. I would still like to take a doe and get the points and can give the meat away. I definitely will be hunting around Christmas time, but I may be able to sneak in a weekend before then. I also posted the buck score breakdown.
Been real slow around here. Found this 8 point 40 yds from one of my stands. Thinking EHD. Did get my son on a doe with the Muzzy finally meat in the frezzer!!!!
Anything new guys? I have not been in a tree for a couple weeks and I want to pull my finger nails off thinking about it!
this sucks not being able to hunt for my self, don't get me wrong i love taking my kids but they are in school all day and early afternoon and we go hunting for the last hour to 1 1/2 hour of the day. i'm off on vacation again and this sucks sitting around not hunting . i pushed for a friend on Monday but he had to go back to work for tuesday.
the Orange Army Season is over in PA. 2nd archery season starts the day after christmas. but i'm tag less. The kids were only able to use 1 of there 4 tages this year. there is hope for Next year. Where is the rest of our team?????? it been the same 4/5 guys posting. come on guys check in again and let everyone know how your season is going or has gone
Still around still have all my buck tags unpunched Muzzle loader season is in here in Kentucky now I finally got a few pictures of a shooter to chase but he must have a large home range and only visits my land occasionally. Late bow goes here until Jan 15 and I will be back in Kansas the weekend before Christmas for 1 last swing at it. Need some colder weather here to get things going. Havent been on in a while guys, I managed to get a doe during gun season last week unfortunately i'm currently fighting some nasty strep throat hoping after finals this week i can get out some during christmas break when I'm not working.
