If I can get out Oct 7th and history repeats itself I should be able to get a nanny. Prior to last year the 5 before that ive taken a doe on this date. Very wierd that is for sure.
A fawn call is awesome to use in the early season. It goes without saying that it'll draw does in, but it also peaks the curiosity of bucks too. I pulled a nice buck 250 yds across an open pasture last season with one.
OK Im a dumb@ss I was trying to change my avatar but I was in the profile area, not the avatar Im now rockin Kings of Fall

And DAM those 7 days will go slooooow Sooner, is there any way you can go to your original post starting this thread and change it to Kings of Fall team 20? I personally have not figured out how to edit the title in a post yet. If you dont know how either does anyone on here no how to?
Crick, I tried to change the title when the name was picked but I couldn't figure it out.. if somebody smarter than me can tell me how, I'll get it done.
Well guys i went out this morning. It was slow goings till 8:30ish when three does came, UNFORTUNATELY, I was daydreaming of monster bucks and didnt even see then coming until they were about 10 yrds away and they also came the opposite direction anticipated, so they crossed over my walking path, the wind was good but they were mighty nervous (smelled my tracks i guess) so their they stood in front of me and my bow was still on the hanger and I was still sitting down. I tried a super stealth move when I thought best (without them seeing but before they left) and it failed lol they took off. Hope that stand isn't effed for the season. Good news is when I walked out of the woods 20 min. later they were trotting down the edge of the woods seemingly carefree but out of range.
LOL Peak!! Sooner, I have never figured it out either on editing the title Josh, Pay attention Damit I have done that many times to
Guys how about posting a quick pic from your favorite stand when you get a chance. I have plenty from crick already and they give me a good chuckle everytime.
Here's a pic from one of my favorite stands in Kansas. I know it doesn't look like much and your probably wondering why anyone would put a stand there but the pond creates the perfect funnel for deer trying to get to a piece of timber behind me. I've killed 3 good bucks from that tree and I probably could kill a buck there every year if I had to. Here's a pic of the stand in the tree.
