Well Kentucky was a no go. Out of the four guys we had our group took one 140" 11 point. I was hunting that non-typical I posted earlier, and didn't see him until the last day when I was walking out of the stand. I spotted him at about 100 yds, and crawled to about 60. I wanted to get to 50 for a shot, but he went back into the woods before I could make it happen. Wisconsin opens up this Saturday so will be hunting there for two good bucks I have been watching for the second half of summer. Also, hoping to take out some revenge from my Kentucky trip on some does!
When Hunt the stand, I’ll take an extra camera facing back towards where I think the deer will be as well as myself in the stand hoping to get the shot on video. I have the camera set to photo and video mode to trigger every five seconds Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don’t think there’s a way to post a video here, but the videos from that little $69 clearance covert game keeper camera from Walmart are excellent. I do a lot of stuff with trail cameras and usually run Around 20 to 30 cameras year-round. That one, along with an old USA brand camera that sucked takes the best videos of any that I’ve seen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good luck tomorrow. I will be in the stand as well for youth hunt. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bow season starts oct 1. Hopefully I can get out that first weekend Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What are you guys doing to pass the time before hunting season? I’m currently in training for work this week. I’m also scheduled for training the first week of November which I am not happy about. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well I got one of my shooters to come back but I had to teach him to read Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
And of course up keep of stands IE a chair for me because I like to sit on the ground, and practice for me and my chubby tracking dog
