First sit of the year for me. Light wind in my face. Temps in upper 50s. Just need the deer to cooperate Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nice doe! Looks like I might be ready to roll next weekend! Coughing still but not as bad. Today my daughter had her Senior Year Homecoming so I had a shocker for her and her date! It was a warm welcome!
Saw one tonight and with in range. Pretty small deer. Thought it was a button buck at first (smaller size, still relatively early, all by itself) but it think it might have been a small 1 1/2 doe. It was thick where i was at and only had a couple glances of deer to decide. It got a pass. It kept looking back from where it came so I was hoping there was some other deer behind it but there was not. Left a little early because it started raining hard and got dark quick with cloud cover. All in all a good first sit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So tonight will be my first sit of the season. I have been seeing a shooter last 5 nights in the same location. Wind is right. Temps are right. Equipment is all dialed in. It just feels like an arrow slinging kind of night.
The script was written perfect tonight. But the deer forgot one small part and that was the side of the field they were suppose to walk into. Seen my shooter with some smaller bucks and quite a few does just a mere 400 yards away. I was able to close the distance to within 80 but got pinned down by a doe and her fawns. Doe left and it was too late seen the buck follow them all out of the field. Great night all considering. Very educational! Had no idea they were using the property like they were. Lucky for me there is tomorrow.
My buddies friend killed this mega giant last night.... I’m hearing 210” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I saw the pic before reading the post and I thought you killed that monster! Not gonna lie, I was doing a little happy jig over here. Congratulations to your buddy on one amazing whitetail! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I sat last night and saw 13 deer including one of my shooters filter into a bean field. The farmers getting ready to take the beans off any day now so I might have to make a move on him soon if the winds right Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just about all of the early planted beans before all the spring / early summer rains started are off up here. The early planted corn is coming off up here now as well. The late beans are just starting to yellow the past couple days. Go get him! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
Welp I got out Sunday evening for my first sit. All in all saw 15-20 doe. Including one that walked straight to the base of my tree and stood there for about 30 minutes so I guess you could say my scent control is working.
