I did the same thing two years ago. First or second sit of the season, put an arrow right through the top bit of fat/meat on a bucks back. Well she is actually the one I missed earlier in the sit. I was covered up with does all evening mostly fawns. I let the last 2 fawns walk off and I heard a live band start playing in a garage from up the street and I laughed to myself “hopefully that kicks that doe back to me” and sure enough 5 min later she came trotting out right where she ran off before. She ate some acorns and walked around me for about 10 minutes and I double lunged her when she presented me a good shot!
