Hoping to get out after work...Haven't been seeing much of anything lately with the warm temps here in Central Illinois.

Frost tonight and cooler weather tomorrow. I'll be out tomorrow night. Sunday morning also. Lots of corn should be coming out. Only helps things in my area. One of those bigger bucks I have pictures of I rattled in several times last year. Hoping he hasn't changed his demeanor. Probably wait another week to bring the antlers out.

My dad and I have only sat 4 times. Has to be a record for us. We are both usually way too impatient to stay out of the woods. I'm excited about what not over-hunting the area will bring. Would like to get a doe down this weekend if a good shot presents itself. I like having a doe down before a buck. The mental aspect of having successfully taken a deer recently feels good to me.

Food plot seems to be doing well. Fresh scrape by it. Corn is out here. We won't hunt this spot until hard freeze. Should be good. Excited about new blind material.

I think I've logged into bowhunting.com about 20 times today at work. I'm very itchy to get out. Good frost this morning here.

The wind forecast is hard to plan for. At 5 it is WSW and 6 it is ESE. 1-2 mph. $20 says that a big doe snorts at me tonight.

Arrows shot. Bow is on. Beautiful night. Time to get something down. People have been seeing more movement this week.

Pictures probably aren't great. Got a doe tonight. Hit it in spine and it died quickly. Second deer I've done that with. This one died quicker than the last.

Saw some small bucks chasing and cruising.

He's not using the trail where I have cam on...so I have no trail cam pics of this deer...I believe it's the same deer I have on cam last year...I'll see if I can find it and I'll share it
