Thank you. I'm really happy with him. I had few disappointing times with him this year but all played out good in the end. This was my 1st year with a cam so got me real pumped knowing that he was out there. Both neighboring properties are pretty bummed. Hoping to get 1 more doe to fill the freezer though. Roll Tide Roll
Dropped buck off at taxidermy yesterday when got home from work. He was out hunting but his wife took care of it. He called me today and said would be week or 2 after Christmas before done that he has a few in front of me. So might be a bit before can update score on post but I listed it already. He's an older guy about 70 been doing mounts 40 years but only does 10-15 a year now for play money. He mounted my buck last year and did a great job. He is working on 2 mule deer now. They were beautiful, I never seen one before besides tv or pictures. Some local guys got them out west Roll Tide Roll
Yeah does quick job but does great work. Last year got buck on 19 Nov also, I picked it up from him in mid Dec Roll Tide Roll
This is one he did for me last year. Shoulder is little short but coyotes got a hold of him since couldn't find him the night shot it. Found him next day. Roll Tide Roll
Those are the best guys to gp to it seems. I have one guy thats done my last couple bear mounts & seems each time i take him something, the wait gets longer....im still waiting for my bear mount from August 2016!! Its nothing special either. Last December i took my big buck to another cop that does taxidermy on the side. He called me a month later to come pick it up! It looks awesome & he now has 3 more "jobs" from me & my other half! Well I sat 4 times over the Thanksgiving break and didn't see a deer... Cameras aren't showing anything anymore either.
Passed in some small deer during our gun season. Then actually missed a nice doe at 20 yards. I’ve never shot my bow with that many clothes on before. String hit my sleeve and the arrow went wide right! At least it was a clean miss. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Great buck, Josh! Congrats to you! Haven't been out deer hunting much since my gram passed, been a rough time as of late. Went out for opening weekend of duck season last week though to clear my head, but the season is closed now for a week before it re-opens again. Have family stuff to attend to on Saturday so will try to head back into a tree stand for a sit on Sunday.
