I changed things up. Hopefully it will not bite me in the butt. I only have 2 stands up. I put and metal ladder stand up close to where the 10 has came out a few times and some does been traveling it also. Setting in it tonight, rain and storms all day tomorrow

Well 10 came out chasing 3 does. He ran them off so I started grunting and bleating at him. Got him in to 25 yds just no shot felt comfortable with. I definitely got to trim few branches. Might do that after work since will be storming

My 2 buddies that bow hunt think Im crazy because only sighted pins to 30 yds. I just don't feel quite comfortable any longer at this point and that way I can't even get tempted. I figure once season is over I can practice a lot more and stretch it out some

My old bow I was comfortable to 45. I haven't shot my new bow enough to get to that range yet.

I shot my deer at 32 yards this year. That’s by far the longest shot I’ve taken at a deer. I got lucky. I don’t even remember what pin I looked at. I keep seeing a red pin in my mind when I replay it, which would be the correct pin. Crazy how I lose composure when a big deer comes out.

Since Fitz stopped his thread I don’t think I’ve seen anything from him on here.

I think he does this about every year. I can only suspect he is out hunting like a mad man!

I haven't gone through the scoreboard but we must have some points not counting, we're not even close to the top!

Little update on me. I didn't get to hunt at all as of late as I have been going through an extremely difficult time. Got the call I have been dreading and having nightmares about for the past year Friday afternoon while at work. My grandmother had passed away. She was not a grandmother to me, but a mother. This has been extremely hard for both me and my family. I am trying to pick myself up and get back to my life, but it just isn't easy and I haven't yet been able to. I don't know how to go on with my life without her, but I hope she can give me the strength and guidance from above to help guide me. Hope you all are still enjoying your seasons and make sure to love and cherish those around you that you love dearly. God bless you all. Hoping to be able to pull myself together for this weekend so I can get up in a tree and watch the sunrise and be alone with my thoughts and prayers, maybe being that much closer to god and to her will help me out some.

Man I hate to hear that. I know no matter what anyone says will not matter right now. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Dec 7th will be 3 years since I lost my mom. I can say things do get better but just takes time. Keep your head up. Always remember the good times
