Same plan here. Can't wait to get out of work today so I can head out. Going to put lots of time in the stand from tomorrow to Wednesday.
I plan on staying out most of tomorrow and Sunday as long as wife and kids are happy. I work at a elementary school as a sub and sub janitor. I'm working 4 days next week but get off at 230. I live 10 mins away so plan on running home shower and head out as much as I can Roll Tide Roll
There was 12 deer out in fresh cut corn field across from school yesterday morning. Got binos out of truck, 1 buck was huge. Picked all the farms I help my buddy Mark with so done with that until time to seed in winter wheat Roll Tide Roll

Just headed back in for a bit to eat and got few things got to get done. See 2 small bucks this morning. A 6 with messed up rack 2 on one side 4 on other and a 3 point on one side and the other is flush with head and drops down in front of his ear. He was 9 yards from me. Had to see from pic but will attach. Hopefully he can grow into a monster non-typical Roll Tide Roll
Well the ol man (heavy 10 pt) ahiwed last night...after legal hours & would behind me in a no shot area....im getting closer to getting this done! Well had 5 bucks seen today. 2 this morning and 3 tonight. My big 10 came out and was heading my way with another shooter. Got to about 60-65 yards and they bolted. Not sure if they caught wind of me. Winds were to the south and they were to the east. I had eyes on them the whole time setting as still as I could. Didn't even reach for my bow yet. Just sucks I know you don't get many chances at the big ones. Had another buck come right under me at dark. Couldn't tell how big but seen antlers. I will check cam tomorrow to see. It's weird though I usually see does even if far off. Didn't see any today. I will regroup and have to try again tomorrow. Temps are suppose to get back into 60s next week Roll Tide Roll

Hopefully he will start moving more. It's the first time I seen him. Only have few pics of him during the day. With that said I only have 1 cam. Neighbors on both sides have him on their cams and want him. So hoping to get a chance before the 18th when gun season comes in. Which I'm planning on bowhunting all season. So they might hide out on me. I'm only going to gun hunt if towards end of year I still need to fill the freezer or if my daughter wants to hunt I will set with her Roll Tide Roll
Man i hope he shows for you! Especially after putting your time in, a big bruiser makes it so much sweeter....i cant wait for rifle season, only because my Dad comes & stays with me. I set him up in some great spots in a ground blind with a heater, which he never uses unless i turn it on! I find it rewarding to be able to repay him for when he did this for me. We have been hunting rifle season together for 30 yrs this coming season. I hope the memories you & your daughter share continue & last like those my Dad & i have made. Josh keep after that big boy, I had that big ten I shot had hunted for three years get down wind and get squirelly the morning i shot him, then ended up having him come back down another trail and got a shot at 35 yds. You never no!
I'm hoping she continues to enjoy it. She got her 1st last year. She popped a doe at 75 yards. I got her a kids bow this summer but it's not really her thing. Waylon's 3 but really wants to go. So I'm planning on taking him the warmest day last week of season. It'd harder with Cadance. She lives in Alabama with her mom. She only comes up here 4-5 times a year. I go down to see her every other weekend during school year.
We only get 1 buck so he's top my list. There's also a big 8 I would stick if giving the chance. I have only killed 1 buck. That was last year
I just got back from the FFA National Convention. Got home at 6:03 and was in the stand by 6:13. Shooting light ends about 6:45 and at 6:40 had about a 130 inch buck with his nose down run across the hay field to my left at 60 yards. Grunted at him and he stopped then took off again gave him another couple grunts and he stopped again but took off. He was trailing one hard.
