Opening day was Friday for me. Went to a stand of oaks and only saw a mangy coyote... which I proceeded to miss... twice. Didn't hunt again till this evening and saw a very large flock of turkeys. Closest 1 came was 40 and he was in some brush so no shot taken. Did get to watch them fly up and roots about 100 yards from me though, which was pretty cool. 100° heat index and humid here tomorrow and upper 80s through the weekend. Supposed to get up to 2" of rain. Highly doubt i'll do any bow hunting. Monday starts a nice cool down with highs in the low 60s. Depending on the rain, we'll be starting to harvest beans so my time in the stand from here on out will be sporadic.

Doing good here, just hot as hell. Season starts next Sunday, so got week left to prepare and practice. I'm only sighted out to 30 yards, but that covers most of what I will be hunting. I just don't feel quite comfortable any longer at this point. It's only my 2nd year with bow. I feel good at 30 though. Heres a pic where I'm shooting right now. About to pack up for the day. hey guys sorry I have been MIA for a few weeks. season starts Sunday morning. I can't wait, but has been high 90's here for ten days. tomorrow starts a cool down. Sunday morning supposed to be 40 degree's. My son took a cool buck during the youth hunt. he had a double main beam. Yeah I seen a bunch on the way to work. Then had some showers this afternoon and temp dropped about 10°. They deer were moving a lot about an hour before sunset Roll Tide Roll
I hope so Sunday temps are 53 low to 74 high. It's been mid 80s and 90s last week and half. So hopefully the opener will be busy Roll Tide Roll
