Holy shopping spree! I want to order a jacket but think I have to wait awhile. Might order the hat and gloves though.
Don't worry about it we have plenty of season left. Most of us haven't even started yet so just be patient!
Carnivore1- Haven't heard from you in almost a month and I know Kansas season is underway! Actually have heard of several Kansas deer hitting the ground already. Have you been out, seen anything?
I am not being very aggressive yet. Still too early to hit certain spots. My daughter is putting the pressure on me to kill a deer lol. She is anxious. Sent from my Windows Phone 8X by HTC using Tapatalk
Checked a cam today... had a decent sized 8 on it.. maybe 120-125ish. No 12 pointers yet, so I relocated that camera again and put out a bag of that apple pellet stuff, from Acorn Rage. It's closer to the area they seem to favor. Hopefully it will bring them in! I also checked and re-secured my best stand, cleared lanes and I'm ready to go. All I need now is clean laundry and the season to open
Was in my "Deer Cave" at the house looking over some stand locations on some oversized Google earth maps. The blind I have hunted the past two weekends have been in an old clear cut littered with muscadines, have about 3-4 trails coming to the area I have the blind set up. Not sure if the deer have actually found the muscadines yet and if they have are feeding on em before I get there or if since the acorns have started dropping in the oak flats if they have changed patterns moving through them instead. What are ya'lls thoughts? I'm gonna move to another stand location anyway since I have hunted the same area twice in a row which I normally don't do but I am wondering if ya'll think that an oak flat stand would be a good choice for my next sit.
Well guys the season is coming closer. Opening day is Saturday but I will be in South Bend watching the Notre Dame Oklahoma game. First day in the woods will be Oct. 1 Checked the camera and had couple decent bucks and alot of doe activity. I can hunt this area no matter the wind so looking forward to the season.
Hopefully you get them on camera this time Josh! I got all my laundry done last week. Now just 1 week to wait and I am ready to go!
Well I am hoping that we didn't loose Carnivore1. His season is underway in Kansas but we haven't heard a word from him in over a month and looking at his profile he is on the site a lot. I have pm'd him and he is not responding to me. Hope he is still competing or we are going to be short a guy.
Guys looking forward to hitting the stand a week from today. I am hoping to hear from some of you that we are on the board. I will be looking for a nice nanny that morning my freezer is bare and I don't like going to grocery store to buy red meat.
I cant wait! Tomorrow will be the last trip to the farm just to finish a set and final camera check! Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
I don't even wanna talk about it. It's taking to darn long for the season to open. I'm awful jealous of the cheesheads to the north right now!
Hey guys, don't worry about me, I don't post a whole lot, but I will contribute to the team. Been out once so far, and was surprised to have 4 bucks still grouped up walk right under the stand. The largest of the group tempted me, but I know there are bigger, so I will hold out. Good luck guys, I will check back in when I have news.
Glad to hear your still around! Was starting to worry about you. Good luck hunting. Keep us all posted how on its going! Sent from my DROID3 using Tapatalk 2
Been out quite a bit so far this season but the weather has been warm. Cooler weather is coming though. I have two weeks until I take a trip to Missouri! Supposed to be high 50s low 60s while I am there. Hopefully that will get them up and moving. Good luck everyone!
Forecast is calling for low 50's opening morning next Tuesday for me in northeast Illinois. Hope that forecast stays like that or gets even cooler!
