Gonna get out tomorrow morning and put a few cameras back out after I test them all today because I had a few that weren't working the other day. Also have to finish hanging a set and get a cameraman stand set up on one of them! Hope to get in some shooting today though!

Doin some shooting tomorrow. Had a big weekend as I was at a NCo of the year competition for my brigade. Wore me out but thankfully I won.

Benn way too hot to do anything outside here. Today it was 103 degrees.

Just not having luck with the Cams this year, goes with Big Woods hunting though, I need some ground with fingers and ag fields so I could narrow it down better! Cut some shooting lanes today slash rerouting Deer lanes. Last winter heave snow had bent a lot of small trees and blocking where the Deer normally travel by one of my stand trees, The chain saw took care of it, they will get used to it before season. I was drenched from sweating, still hot here!

It's always a damn shame to see that. I'm not a EHD expert but all the photos of whitetails that have succumb to the virus have been nearly complete skeletons and this buck from what I can tell is just basically the skull, some ribs and a leg. Looks like its been there a really long time or it was a victim of something else.

Checked one cam today.. no dice. Just a couple of nannies and 2 fawns. Still haven't looked at the one which hopefully has my 12 pointers on it! ;) That'll be next weekend... and I'll be hanging a 3rd cam, as well. We open on the 30th, but I wont make it out until the first weekend of Oct.. got a friend coming in from Germany for a couple weeks. She leaves on the 4th :tu:

Good luck to you guys that open soon!

This weekend was a big bust for me. First my camera pooped out so had to go buy a new one. Then found out from my property owner that I can only hunt two days from Sept. 30 till Oct. 6. The property I hunt is owned by the city so have to follow their rules.

That sucks. Is it even worth hunting for only 2 days?

Sorry guys I most have worded the sentence wrong. I am only allowed to hunt two days during the opening week, then I can hunt whenever I want after that. It just sucks cause I was so looking to get out and hunt opening week. Guess the deer will be safe for one more week.

I am really starting to get the itch now. I have a few items I still need to order and then still need to wash everything and get it ready for the season. Shooting about 25-30 arrows a night at a blank bale to work on release. Just making final adjustments.
