Shed Head I am going to go push my luck tomorrow even with the snow. I just have to get back out. This sitting at home thinking of sheds is killing me!

Went out yesterday for a three mile stroll not a shed to be seen. This deep snow is killing my shed season, i cant wait for this to melt off. I think in the next two weeks alot of sheds are gonna be found.

Well I made it out today, the first spot I went to had some deer sign in the pines where there was less snow, so I hiked around in there for a couple of hours and found nothing. So went over to where I can hunt and tried getting back to where I found that big shed last year and couldn't get back there. The snow was just to deep,I headed back towards my truck I found one in the pines, I should have just started looking in there.I 'm pretty sure I saw this buck in late October.

Like I tell my friends, outside of stumbling across one, it is waaaaay easier to find a big horn as opposed to finding one of these little ones, really proud of the half of the 6 pointer........(the forks were probably a matched set, they were about 10 yards apart)

The two turd looking things are the antlers.....

Walked for a couple hours yesterday... nada. Did come upon some VERY fresh boot tracks walking the same private ground I've got exclusive access to at the end of my trek... no wonder I didn't find anything! Argh!! :(

That sucks, nothing better than getting back to that honey hole that you have been just waiting for the right time to get back to and it is covered in tracks......

Danno - How much snow do you guys have out there? That 5x looks like a stud - u score the shed? Neat looking veiny antlers on that guy.

Our snow will be gone by this weekend, but the damn antlers won't fall off! This blows. All reports seem to be indicating that 60-80% are still packing. Same scenario in WI?

Haven't measured it yet but I'm guessing it came off a 140ish. We had 20" until Sunday the snow should be gone by Friday I would say 1/2 have dropped in southern WI and 90 % up by the cabin. It's a neat looking shed I'll get it measured up and take a better pic of it.

I like something in the photo to give it a bit of 'scale' makes them big ones actually look big :D

    Great find!

Taking a gamble, taking friday off to hopefully go out and find some sheds, and if it aint raining that hard, gonna come get the boys and do a easter egg hunt with some sheds......

Awesome finds fella's!!!! I managed to get out for two gruelling workouts with showshoes on, found 3 sheds, saw one buck still packing. Will post pics later. We just had two days in the mid 40's and the snow had dropped bigtime. However, I am not much good to ya guys till mid march, as I am off to Northern Quebec till the 14th of March. Although there is a chance for some caribou sheds lol
    Keep at it boys!!!!

I hit the mother load yesterday guys. I found seven sheds and two skulls it was a great day to say the least. one of the sets is a giant and also a monster four point half that went 73" the set goes 173" pics. to follow. The rest of the sheds were dinks but now is the time to find them, the snow is gone.
