Got out for almost 3 hours on Sunday, just a quick walk around, managed to find 3, also found one on Saturday (need to snap a picture of it) found it while cleaning out wood duck houses, so no camera on me......but here are the 3 I found. (the 2nd one is a nice half of a 8 pointer, 10"+ G2, 22" beam, gonna be a dandy next year)

I need to start clipping on a pedometer when I do this... I'll bet I covered three miles today... would have sworn some of the area I looked through would have held at least one if not 10, LOL... but notta for me today.

Tomorrow I'm working on my bobcat wall rug after work and I'll be back at it Thursday afternoon...

I've found 4. I need to post pics of 3 of them. I went out for 3 hours today and found one little three point and a matching 7 pointer! The 7 pointer has crazy mass for suck a little rack.

I've found the one side plus the two heads (the one big 8 and the other funky one in the tree).

    Way to go, Jim! :)

I'm hitting two hospitals and calling it a day early... hopefully by 11 a.m. I'll be changing out of the dress clothes and hitting a few new spots shortly thereafter. No obligations tomorrow night so I'm gonna try to put five or six hours of looking in tomorrow...

Be a welcome change... I was at my taxi's all day today fleshing my last big bobcat, turning his lips, eyes, nose and ears. If you ever wonder why taxis charge what they do, just go volunteer to do that for a day. Can't wait until I finish my wall rug though! :)

Four straight hours of walking and nada.... other than a doe that had fed a pack of coyotes.

Greg, I finally got around to seeing the buck in the tree :) pretty neat Greg'o ;) You talked about the shed that flipped up and hit your leg. The second shed I ever found did the same thing and there was not even snow :D just felt like antler hitting my leg, So I know exactly what yer talkin about :)

Just put a tape to this guy...

    129 2/8 as a clean 8...

    A few of his stats...

    inside spread of 18 7/8
    right main beam 21 3/8
    left main beam 20 4/8
    right G2 9 4/8
    left G2 10

    carries his mass very well...

    right H1 4 5/8
    left H1 4 4/8
    right H2 3 6/8
    left H2 3 7/8
    right H3 3 5/8
    left H3 3 6/8
    right H4 2 6/8
    left H4 2 2/8

All in all ... a stud 8-pointer. Too bad he didn't walk under me when he was alive! :)

No real way of knowing... bottom jaw was missing; all I found was what you see, plus a few sections of his spine and a few other miscellaneous bones lying around.

Just from his sheer mass though compared to other deer in the area (same area I've hunted for over a decade), I would put him as a 3 1/2-year-old.

I had a couple of hours to kill today so I went out to one of my spots. I found 1 and I have a little history with this buck. I rattled him in twice last year. The first time he was circling me and the neighbors thought it was a good time for a walk in the woods. The second time was Thanksgiving morning he came in behind a cedar tree and I never knew he was there until he busted out.I found it between the 2 spots.

Thanks guy's. I looked as long as I could for the otherside. I'm going to try and make it out one night this week and comb the land I have access to and try and get permission to get into the the surrounding property. I'll meausure it up tonight after the kids go to bed.

VERY, very awesome find!!!! That's the stuff shed-hunting dreams are made of!!

Best of luck finding his other side. Extremely cool that you've got the history with him too!

I'll be heading out for several more hours again after church with my number-one shed-hunting partner. :)
