Got three kids. 5yr-5 mo I work a LOT and it’s 3 weeks at a time out of town so I’ll give it my all to contribute. I normally get at least a buck and a doe every year. I’m Ben, I’m 28 and an elementary special ed teacher here in northern IL. I coach basketball in the fall so I’ll be hunting around that schedule as well as school. I’m also an obsessive waterfowl guy so I’ll be chasing birds around IL, WI, IA and MO this fall/winter as well. I love to be active on these forums and this contest has brought me lots of friends and past teams that I keep in touch with year round now. Being active is so much more fun for this contest. We’ve done group me in the past for teams to all keep in touch instead of on the forum. I’ve been a captain in the past and can do it again if nobody is willing. I’m Greg and I hunt 2 counties in WI. I have an avid bow hunter for 36 years. For the last 10 years or so my goal has been 150” each year or I don’t shoot one. Last year I didn’t shoot a buck because I only had one very smart one to go after. This year cameras are alive and well with some good up and comers around so far. Good luck and be safe!
Hey guys, Jared here from Brainerd, MN in my thirties with a wife and 2 kids. I mostly hunt on a 450 acre piece of land that has been in my family since the late 80's. Our family farm is shared with 5 other uncles and 20 cousins that use the property for hunting and recreation as well. I have spent this past off season targeting a 20 acre area of that 450 that I can hopefully keep the recreation of my family off of but we all get the opportunity to use it so I cant complain too much. I have been trying to implement some habitat management on the property but it is pretty slow going. I will rent a mulcher for a few days in the spring to clear trails and add food plots. No monsters on camera yet but have a few with potential in the coming years (seems like I have been saying that the last 5 years) In my work life I do sales for a precision machine shop, we have our own OEM product line for the optical manufacturing world and then we also do contract manufacturing in a wide variety of industries, firearms to satellites to NASCAR/NHRA/World of Outlaws parts to medical. We also have a brand in our business that manufacturers a line of automation equipment for machine shops similar to ours that delivers mixed water soluble coolant to machines in shops instead of the traditional bucket brigade (mixing and pouring/dumping into machines manually) Unfortunately our archery season opener coincides with my busiest week of the year for work next week (IMTS in Chicago) so I am usually a week behind to get in the stand. I look forward to the chatting on this thread during the season and I consider this one of the highlights of the hunting season for me. Cheers guys and shoot straight!
