Im hoping to get out this weekend too. I was thinking about trying public land, like Kettle Moraine. Do you know anything about that area?

low deer numbers hard to pattern they have a wide area to use you can go weeks on end not seeing a any deer I think we have one of the lowest kill rates in the us

Congrats again on the bear Ryan! Always fun to shoot a new species of animal.

We're ahead of schedule on the squash harvest this year, so it looks like I may get out to hunt this weekend. I have no idea what's around at the cabin this year, as I haven't been up there much. I'll check the cams and probably just sit over a food plot. If I don't see any good bucks around I may shoot a doe if the opportunity presents itself.

Last year we had a ton of great bucks around, but this year the fields aren't growing as well. We probably had 5 bucks over 140" on cam after gun season and I found a few of their sheds. I know of one hanging around for sure, Nixon. I'm sure more will show up though soon.

    Here's Nixon this year...

Here's a pic of him from last year as a 9. I figured he would put on quite a few inches as I think he was a 3 year old last year. Maybe he was 4. Hard to tell.

that's a nice deer Dan. The only picture I have so far is from back about May/June. I haven't been able to get out to the woods since

You have been on this site for all these years and you still dont know how to do that? I upload mine to youtube then post the link. You have to upload them somewhere first then post it.

Work! Between the wife and myself having to work over for the next couple of weeks there is not any extra time to get out.

The man is keeping me down!!
