I’m going to hang a set tomorrow and finish sighting in my bow. First hunt will hopefully be Thursday morning. Looking to take some does off a park district property I have permission for. Good cold front coming through here today! Low in the 40's high tomorrow in the 50's. Wind switching to the north, here we go! Been really slow here, this should kick the movement up some. Getting some good recon the past few nights. Moved my cameras about 1/2 acre on the farm about 4 nights ago and located a couple of my mature bucks from this summer right away. Feel like I have a good idea on these two and excited to get in a tree. Even with one bumping some does last night. The 23rd it'll start for me!

Good luck everyone. My son has two soccer games tomorrow morning, he got pulled into division one to help that teams roster so he a 10 year old playing against 12-13 year olds…then he goes and plays on his division 3 team right after. It’s his last two games tomorrow morning. I am going to hunt tomorrow afternoon and do two sits on Sunday. It’s getting close for me to start thinking about hunting my better spots… my cams are totally dead and ehd is hitting us very hard. Not sure what happens from this point
Out on stand right now sitting in a corridor from bedding to food with some oak trees around me too. Hopefully something will walk out for me tonight…either way it’s a beautiful night to be sitting in a tree!
First and only sit of the weekend. My uncle passed away Friday evening and needless to stay things been a mess. Have to take my mother and grandmother to wake and funeral so I am tied up the next couple days. Tonight I am in stand I hate, it’s on the back west Corner of my houses property. I rarely sit in it as my neighbor, not the most pleasant individual, ride his four wheeler down a path like 75 yards off the back line …almost ever afternoon. Not sure why. In any event it’s great stand with a west wind and this the first west wind I had since the season opened. I have pictures of okay buck coming though here several times between 530 and 730…maybe I get lucky and see him before the rut kicks in and comes off this pattern

I got a shot at last light, not sure ifs it the buck I was after or not. But he came out and followed the same direction place I was getting him on cam and where I had his track several times . Blood looked good, seen where my arrow fell out or backed out. Lost sight of him and not sure if he fell down or laid down shortly after. I backed out and am going to give it a few hours.
