I am flying home today. I plan on pulling some cams this weekend and next week to see what I have after a month long soak.
My cell cams been busy but honestly I haven’t see anything really exciting. I got one weird pic of buck that looks like a five point on one side but I can’t tell
Much more about him. Everything else meh [IMG]

7 more days and a wake up here in Illinois. I doubt I’ll hunt the opener, work and then Homecoming football game. Will definitely try to get out that weekend though. Can’t wait!

Finally opening day tomorrow! Don't think I'll be out, going to be a little too warm, mid 80's for a few days! Looking like better weather next week! Hope team 2 has somebody out now or able to get out soon. Somebody needs to break the ice for us! I think once we get started we'll be in the thick of things! I think we have the hunters to put up alot of points! Let's do this!

Opener is Saturday. Forecast 53-70 degrees, north wind 5-10mph, which is calm for us, both morning and evening. Some rain showers Friday afternoon , but clear Saturday. Should be great weather and one of my favorite spots hunts perfect with a North wind.

I have one borderline shooter that passes through there to/from farm fields and bedding area 2-3 times a week. I will be taking bow and camera, so hopefully I at least get some good photos. Regardless, looking forward to getting out and enjoy the beginnings of Fall.

NY opens tomorrow. I might sit a doe spot in the afternoon. Been pulling cards all day, not much exciting. I will post a few pictures up later. Not sure have shooter bucks yet on any cams.

Went out and checked our food plot yesterday. With our area having severe drought conditions I wasn't anticipating it doing real well, just hoping for something to grow. Well I was very happy with what I saw! BigNBeasty is doing fantastic! Should be a killer spot with the BnB and beans! Did also have a shooter show up on camera. 20210930_091553.jpeg 20210930_091403.jpeg 20210930_085414.jpeg 20210930_104154.jpeg 20210930_104222.jpeg

First sit of the year is warm and muggy, but rain just quit so I knew I had to be out. River bluff food plot surrounded by dense forest, ridges and ravines. 5-6 nice mature bucks on camera on surrounding 40 acres, maybe one will have dinner with me tonight. First sit for me too.. I already lost a pint or two of blood to mosquitoes . If I get home without getting malaria it will be considered a success at this point

Good luck gents, still about 9-10 days out from being able to hunt here. Need to get my bow setup when I get back as well as it has a new string and sight. I’m not too worried, late October/early November is when I’ll make my bacon.
