    Biologist said it was a 5 or 6 year old lion. We checked him in and they took a tooth sample. I should be able to look it on the website after all the test come back

    Good day. Just checking in.

    I havent been on for awhile. Had my elk hunt the 1st part of November and then been busy catching up with work, family, holidays, the 2nd half of the month. I did not tag a bull but my hunting partner tagged a nice 350 ish class bull.

    Been hunting a few sits each week but don’t really have any shooter target bucks anywhere on radar at the moment. My nephew shot the only decent buck we’ve seen this year, and while he was definitely a mature deer, he wasn’t anything to write home about antler wise.

    We are about 10 days into our 20 day peak rut, so there is still a chance something new will show up in one of our areas. Will be hunting this weekend. Buck season runs all through December and doe season all the way until mid January, so there is still time.

    Congratulations to those who have already filled tags and good luck to those still out pursuing.

    Well boys, I let the team down, but I killed my #1 yesterday morning with a rifle.

    He’s not going to count for the team score. I still plan on taking a doe with my bow and there’s a chance I’ll end up in WV for some late season bowhunting but I don’t have a buck tag for Ohio anymore.

    Hope you guys are having luck! I am still out trying with my bow but no luck yet. I did connect with my target buck I had hit with my bow with my rifle on rifle opener. But now back at it with a stick and string. Good luck to all the rest of the season.
