Close. Tapatalk doesn't have the emoticon option. If you log into the forums using your normal web browser or on a computer, when you go to reply, look at the toolbar right above where you're typing. There is a smiley face. Click on that and it gives you a list of emoticons and if you hover over one it will tell you the keystroke combination to post them without having to go through all that hassle. Tapatalk doesn't show the emoticons. It just shows the text someone types for an emoticon.
Hey guys! Sorry it took so long for me to check in, but here I am! Better late than never right? Anyway, my name is Eric, I’m 31 married with a 3 year old son. I just left my job as a paper machine operator of 10 years and got back into building houses. As my name says, I live in Maine, and travel to SW Illinois got a week in November to bow hunt, looking forward to the contest this year, I’ve had a lot of fun with it in the past! Bear season is open here in Maine, and I killed a 284lb dressed male on opening day last Monday with my grandfathers rifle. It’s a good start to the season! I’m hoping to get on here much more frequently as the season gets closer. Our deer season opens up this coming Saturday! Looks like I’ve got a lot of catching up to do on this thread!
Tapatalk is great for certain things. I still use it on my phone to post pics from the field, but logging in using Safari on my phone is a much better forum experience.
So guys get ya caught up on me! Im starting to hunt WI public this saterday untill october 1st. I. Nothern illinois i have 21 permission pieces to hunt and another very large piece in central IL. Hoping to drop some studs this year for the team will post a few trail cam pics in a few. Will also post some of the past years deer as well!
Ive got 22 cams out... i dont have near enough.. i only have them on 2 farms here are a couple deer im chasing the double drop is my main target
Idk about everyone else but i like to hunt places without running cameras sometimes makes a giant so much more fun hunting when you see him and have no pictures of him... pretty much a sup-rise when one comes in

I thought it sounded strange too. Each of our seasons open on a saturday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’ve never had a Friday opener before, kind of annoying actually I had to take a vacation day, but I figured I wouldn’t be worth anything if I’m working on opening day... also it might be a sin in my religion lol! Good luck! I'm holding out until the end of October but living vicariously through the LFTS thread. I will say, yesterday morning when I left OKC at 6am with 50° rainy weather it definitely kicked the hunting spirit into overdrive. I'm going to start bringing a bow with me to Arkansas just to get in a little more practice.
That’s awesome! The low for tomorrow is 60 and the high is 78 supposed to storm all day today and up until 4am in MD so I’m hoping that has them laid up and they will move at first light tomorrow!
