Hey Guys... sorry I haven’t posted much but to be honest not much as changed for me on my Lease & this Timber Harvest that’s still going on (several weeks longer then originally told). My Son & I have been out twice though .. once last Saturday for a morning & evening sit then yesterday evening as well, both days nothing in sight almost as if the place is void of any Deer lol. We did cut the hunt short yesterday as the Neighboring Farmer was on his tractor and stop to talk with us.... he said since this Timber Harvest all he has seen on camera is a Doe & her 2 Fawns.... he mentioned that some property across the street though as been seeing the Deer now so evidently they’ve moved there (as expected imo). With the entire situation of this Select Timber Harvest we are going to make the most of the situation as we can’t even hunt the entire property still cause they’re still doing the front of the lease... and if you ask yourself what about getting $ back... I’ve had numerous talks .. conference calls with all parties involved & pretty much been told oh well... honestly speaking because this Select Timber Harvest wasn’t told to me or in the signed leasing contract nor was the not being able to Hunt the entire property for a period of time ...if I wouldn’t pay out more in legal fees then what I paid to lease it I would definitely be seeing a Lawyer... but not doing that as sometimes taking the high road is best... enough bout this though. I feel as if I’m letting the team down but it’s not for the sake of trying... I’m going in the morning while my Son is online schooling to a Public Piece that has been great over the years so Hopefully something happens and then we are going back to the Lease tomorrow evening and getting in a Treestand Set & again Hopefully something happens in our favor.... Sorry for the long rant and all, just didn’t want anyone thinking what happened to Shawn lol, I still believe wholeheartly that this season will be productive despite this current situation. Sorry I haven't been on much guys n' gals.. I've gotten a new job and work has been hectic, to say the least. I haven't had two days off in a row and am currently out of town on a 3 week work trip to GA. Going to try to get one down around rut but it's going to depend on if I can get two days together to hunt. One day to hunt and a second day to process.
Because of the new job i've had to delete notifications on my tap'a'talk so i'm only able to see anything when I have time to log in here.
My neighbor sent me this. He said this wide 8 just started showing up. His feeder is about 80 yards of my South fence line so if he is bedding where I think I might have a good chance at him from my favorite old stand that I haven't hunted in a few years.

Still in Arkansas until tomorrow afternoon. This weekends forecast is in the high 80's so I'm going to probably sit it out. Cold front coming though Monday so I'll sit Monday evening and Tuesday morning before heading back to Bentonville.

Hoping for an evening sit... Getting tough though as it's an hour drive and sunset is getting earlier and earlier. Not sure about this Saturday...

Heading back home early tomorrow and am hoping I have the energy for an evening sit. Definitely going to be out Sunday and maybe Monday evening. I have one stand to move and a ground blind to brush in. I think I know where this buck is moving through the corner of my property but no matter where I set up or whatever route I take its a risky move. Just going to have to wait for him to slip up and come around tailing a doe.
